In the AFL Fall Stars Game Sunday night, the National League lost 6-3. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day Victor Scott doubled, walked twice and stole three bases as the leadoff batter. Tekoah Roby started and Cooper Hjerpe appeared in relief as they retired all five batters faced including three strikeouts.

National League 3 at American League 6
The American League Fall Stars topped the National League Fall Stars on Sunday night at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona.
Victor Scott led off for the visiting team and started in center field. TCN’s no. 11 prospect reached base in all three plate appearances with a double and two walks. Scott stole three bags before leaving the game in the sixth inning.
After his leadoff double in the first, Scott stole third base with one out (see above photo and video below), but the next two batters fanned, leaving him stranded. In the third, Scott walked and stole second, but was again not driven in. Scott took his second free pass with two down in the fifth. He promptly swiped second but did not advance further.

Tekoah Roby started for the NL and recorded a 1-2-3 first inning with two strikeouts. He impressively threw eight of his nine pitches for strikes.
Out of the bullpen, Cooper Hjerpe tossed the first 2/3 of the eighth inning as both managers made in-inning substitutions to get everyone in the game. The lefty prospect struck out one batter.
The NL was 0-for-13 with runners in scoring position. Their pitching struck out 12 batters but yielded three home runs for four of the six scores against them.
Scottsdale (14-13) begins their final three games of the regular season on Tuesday afternoon with a finals berth at stake.
