Results for the Arizona Fall League game played on Friday, October 13.

Surprise Saguaros 6, Glendale Desert Dogs 7

The Saguaros (1-3) fell to the Desert Dogs in a one run loss on Friday.  Cardinals outfielder Oscar Mercado and third baseman Edmundo Sosa saw action in the starting lineup.  Third place hitter Mercado went 2-for-5, with singles in the first and sixth innings. Sosa got his only hit from the eight hole in the sixth, an RBI single.

Jordan Hicks, Arturo Reyes, and Josh Lucas made appearances out of the bullpen for Surprise.  Hicks pitched the fifth and sixth innings and gave up two runs on three hits, while fanning one and issuing no walks.  Reyes tossed a 1-2-3 seventh inning with two strikeouts.  Lucas took the ninth and allowed a run on one hit. Surprise came back with a run in the ninth, but fell just short.

No other Cardinals saw action.
