Thursday, July 18 6:10 p.m.
RHP Dakota Hudson (8-4, 3.48) vs. RHP Tanner Roark (5-6, 3.99)
FOX Sports Midwest // MLB Network // KMOXJuly 18, 2019 at 8:56 am #98343Don’t know anything about Cincinati but I like the looks of Hudsons Won/Loss record and sub 4 ERA. Up against RHP again.
July 18, 2019 at 9:27 am #98350Cards seem to have a tough time winning in Cincinnati. I am hoping for a split in this series but it wouldn’t surprise me if it turned out worse. Same way in Pittsburgh next week, I am just hoping for a split of the four game series.
I’ll be tuned in tonight unless I am laying on the floor unconscious due to the slight dizziness I seem to be having.

July 18, 2019 at 9:35 am #98353I had that a couple weeks ago. Tead up on Syncopy. Mine went away they thought it was a water pill I’ve been taking for gout. The older I get , more stuff going wrong. Hope I’m gettin wiser huh? Go Cardinals,!

stlcard25ParticipantThe best part about playing the Reds…7 PM starts here.
Hopefully Hudson pitches well and the offense enjoys the confines of Great American Ballpark. I’m gonna say this one ends 8-3 Cards.
July 18, 2019 at 1:34 pm #98398I think Goldschmidt is poised to uncork 5 bombs in this 4 game series. The Redlegs are in a bit of a downswing, so possibly we caught these guys at the right time? I like stlcard25’s 8-3 Good Guys prediction…..I like it a heck of a lot. So much so that if this score doesn’t end 8-3 Cards tonight, I’ll gallop nude completely around my block as soon as the last pitch is heaved….it is a night game isn’t it?
July 18, 2019 at 2:14 pm #98411It’s old man thejager’s birthday today, so i’d love to see a Cardinals win or at least a good performance!
Go get em Cards!
July 18, 2019 at 3:12 pm #98416Happy Birthday Jager. I hope it is a good one.
Pauly D batting seventh.
1.Tommy Edman, 3B
2.Jose Martinez, RF
3.Paul Goldschmidt, 1B
4.Tyler O’Neill, LF
5.Dexter Fowler, CF
6.Matt Wieters, C
7.Paul DeJong, SS
8.Kolten Wong, 2B
9.Dakota Hudson, PJuly 18, 2019 at 3:14 pm #98417Have a great day, Jager. Maybe a big trade will be announced and make it even better!
July 18, 2019 at 3:37 pm #98424
stlcard25ParticipantHappy birthday, Jager!!!
July 18, 2019 at 3:48 pm #98426Reds lose a hot hitter…
Had been hitting .360 in his last 7 games, #STLCards won't be facing him for now… https://t.co/ta0g8FaPV6

July 18, 2019 at 5:09 pm #98438Same batting order as the other night. Got all our LH’s in! Happy Birthday Jager. Go Cardinals!
July 18, 2019 at 6:25 pm #98440Maybe a big trade will be announced and make it even better!
Know something we don’t, Brian? Your “!” leads me to believe so.
Indeed, happy birthday to a super cool chap, Jags!!
And not to worry Wooster…..you are for sure getting wiser with each passing day.
July 18, 2019 at 6:29 pm #98441
stlcard25ParticipantHudson with a couple of grounders but then Suarez takes him deep. 1-0 Reds
July 18, 2019 at 6:36 pm #98443
stlcard25ParticipantNow the strike em out, “throw em out” double play that actually wasn’t. That Reds catcher couldn’t have thrown O’Neill out if he was running to the pitcher’s mound. Junk.
July 18, 2019 at 6:42 pm #98444Think about it. Angel Hernandez, crew chief. Holy smokes!
Shildt was going to ask for the crew chief to intervene – then he realized it is Angel Hernandez. #nevermind

July 18, 2019 at 6:47 pm #98446I’m surprised Angel Henandez’s ego fits inside a MLB stadium.
July 18, 2019 at 6:57 pm #98447
stlcard25ParticipantGeez, now the pitcher doubles. The Cards must have the worst pitching stats in the league against opposing pitchers this year.
July 18, 2019 at 7:00 pm #98448
stlcard25ParticipantHudson is in trouble in the 3rd. If he can get out of this with only one run allowed it will be a success.
July 18, 2019 at 7:06 pm #98449
stlcard25ParticipantLooks like it will be lucky to keep it to three runs, thanks to shoddy fundamentals.
July 18, 2019 at 7:06 pm #98450Hudson allows an RBI single and Martinez throws to the wrong base, allowing a second runner to advance into scoring position. Reds up 2-0 in the third with no out. This could be the game right here.
July 18, 2019 at 7:09 pm #98451
stlcard25ParticipantI like Jose but my goodness, Mo needs to do what he did when Matheny was manager and take away Shildt’s toy so he can’t use it anymore. I don’t care if we get an AA reliever back…he needs to go.
July 18, 2019 at 7:09 pm #98452This looks like the 2018 defense out there. Wong felt like he had to cover right field for Martinez, neither gets it and then with the ball right in front of him, Martinez bobbles it trying to throw, giving Puig an extra base. Incredibly the scorer rules it a double.
July 18, 2019 at 7:38 pm #98455That’s what you call home cooking from the scorer.
July 18, 2019 at 7:47 pm #98457After Wieters just missed a HR to right, DeJong clobbers a 2-run HR off the LF foul pole. Reds lead down to 3-2 in the fifth.
