The radar shows that St. Louis is getting hit by whats left of Tropical Storm Barry. Looks like this game tonight, possibly tomorrow night as well, could see delays.

Could Goldy be on the verge of snapping out of it? If you recall, right before the break in the Giants series he smoked several hard hits and was robbed of another by the CF. Then in this past series he had some more high exit velocity hits including a bomb into Big Mac land and another HR taken away by the CF.
If he is about to start looking like the real Goldy then our offense could get a big jolt of good news.

The latter part of that lineup is pretty weak. At least on paper. Mikolas better be on top of his game tonight.
Whats the weather like in St. Louis? Tropical Storm Barry going to be an issue?

Couple of weeks on Ozuna. Read an article couple weeks ago contending Goldschmidts numbers this year pretty much mirror his last year so far. I guess he really turned it on in the second half last year. Hope it goes that way this year! Mikolas is a home boy, wins at home. 3 pirates have good numbers against him so he better know who they are. Evidently we are up against thier best pitcher tonight to open this series. Go Cardinals!

The radar now shows pretty much all clear in the St. Louis area. Guess we are good to go tonight with this titanic struggle.

well cards are doing great right now. lets keep it up. id like to see a couple more runs, if mikolas and the bullpen cant hold that, its on them not the offense.
well that ended up being a great catch by fowler. it would have been a little easier if he had taken a better line on the ball.
Second game in a row the oft-maligned Fowler made a plus play in the OF. This time, he starts a double-play to stop a Bucs threat in the fourth.
well we have those other two runs now. its on the pitching staff to finish this one out. any more runs should just be cake.
Where has this O’Neil been? He now has as many extra base hits in three games as he had had all season.
I really hope Tyler continues to start once Ozuna comes back. An OF of Ozuna, O’Neill, and Fowler is probably the way to go right now.
Might turn out to be a good night. Some poor Cubs defense allows the Reds to get up 6-3 in the 8th. Can the Reds hang on?
Well. Let’s hope that this is more than just three games after a season of not all that much. Right now, I still want Bader if we have a lead. O’Neil is hot.
