I hope the players come out ready to play in this one. Last night’s loss was almost something that could have been expected after the sweep of the Cubs. The whole gang seemed lackluster out there to me.
And sometimes I wonder if Carpenter is even trying. Some of his swings look so pathetic that Pug’s grandma could swing better. Its June boys, its time some people started breaking out or else its time to let some other’s try their hands.

I agree Rats. It was like little to no effort which is typical after a big series sweep as you stated but still. Anyhow I am expecting a better team performance from our boys tonight.
Carp does have a good history against Descafalini so hopefully he will do something productive tonight and get a couple hits.
The Doppler Radar shows a bunch of rain and storms just north of St. Louis. Any chance this one gets delayed as well?
If so I might get a chance to watch my regular Wednesday night episode of Perry Mason.

Ahhh, we get to face Cy DeSclfani on this fine Wednesday evening. Normally that just might spell “t r o u b l e” for our boys, but not this time. Let me put it this way….let’s say you had $10,000 to your name. Without that you’d be homeless in a matter of days. I would feel very very comfortable betting $6,000 on the Brewers tonight and the other $4,000 on the Cardinals. No way you’d lose a penny…..it is an absolute 100% certainty that you would be a winner by night’s end.
Oh, and Esteemed Rat…..for your information my Grandmother played for the Kenosha Comets in the GPBL back in the 40’s.

According to the weather report, they’re expecting rain throughout the night and with a day game tomorrow, it may not be long be for they call it. Of course I thought that last Saturday against the cubs.

Shame this one got washed out as we had Dave, Minuteman3 and Willie ready to game thread it, with Euro, Booyah, stlcard25, Cardinals27, Cardinals1964 and Nyquist waiting in the wings to join in. This could have been an epic game Thread! For whatever reason, The Esteemed One never ventures onboard during a game thread…..go figure?? Maybe Brian has him blocked out of live game threads.
