Who is trailing Albert Pujols and Stan Musial with the most multiple-home run games in St. Louis Cardinals history?
When St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols hit his 38th and 39th home runs of the 2010 season on Sunday night against Atlanta’s Tim Hudson, it was the 30-year-old’s 38th career multi-home run game. In the process, Pujols became the all-time St. Louis Cardinals franchise leader as he broke a tie with Hall of Famer Stan Musial.
After nine seasons, Pujols had 33 such games. This year, he is tied with Adam Dunn and Ryan Zimmerman, both of the Washington Nationals, in leading the National League with five multi-home run games. Jose Bautista of the Toronto Blue Jays is first in all of MLB with seven multi-home run games in 2010.
