ParticipantI’d like to see O’Neill or JoMartinez get a start at some point.
March 30, 2019 at 9:47 am #85145
stlcard25ParticipantAs an EDT person here in PA, I’m glad for the earlier start. Hope to see Dakota deal the Brewers another loss and get back over .500.
March 30, 2019 at 10:07 am #85149Regarding O’Neill and Martínez, I am interested how they will get worked into the lineup when all 5 are healthy. Came into this series thinking maybe 1 start each in Milwaukee. Going to guess 1 today and 1 tomorrow. With Ozuna and Fowler each setting 1 game.
Then figure maybe O’Neill get one start in PA for Bader.
Without injury will say for the road trip 2 starts for O’Neill and 1 for Jose is my projection.

Participantwell im a believer in a set lineup as long as guys are getting pinch hit opportunities which they have and starters are performing. fowler just got a hit so stopping that roll wouldn’t be good, maybe ozuna could use a break. hes gotten some hits but he isn’t really killing it, always stepping too far off ball. bader has looked pretty good overall. hit the ball hard twice yesterday. but we will see.
March 30, 2019 at 2:23 pm #85161O’Neill in for Bader in CF.
#stlcards today:
Carpenter
Goldschmidt
DeJong
Ozuna
Molina
O’Neill
Fowler
Wong
Hudson— Jeff Jones (@jmjones) March 30, 2019

stlcard25ParticipantIt was my concern that O’Neill’s playing time was going to come at Bader’s expense rather than Fowler’s. Hopefully for momentum’s sake, he will do these kind of spot starts in order…perhaps start in CF today, RF tomorrow and LF on Monday.
March 30, 2019 at 4:46 pm #85166What makes Shildt or anyone else think that DeJong is a #3 hitter???????
March 30, 2019 at 6:28 pm #85175How refreshing the Cardinals keep challenging Yelich and he keeps hitting homeruns. Just stop!
March 30, 2019 at 6:34 pm #85179Ozuna dumps a hit into LF.
March 30, 2019 at 6:36 pm #85180Molina sends one to the center field warning track but its caught.
March 30, 2019 at 6:39 pm #85181Tyler swings through a 2-2 pitch. 2 out,runner of 1st.
March 30, 2019 at 6:41 pm #85182And Dex smacks one into the shift for the 3rd out.
March 30, 2019 at 6:47 pm #85183Hudson induced 2 quick outs but then gives up a single to the pitcher that just stayed fair.
March 30, 2019 at 6:48 pm #85184Hudson fields a soft tapper back up the middle for the 3rd out.
March 30, 2019 at 6:52 pm #85186
stlcard25ParticipantOk, now properly positioned thanks to BHC…gotta get some offense going against the youngster Woodruff. Wong with a little flare that drops in front of Cain.
March 30, 2019 at 6:54 pm #85187
stlcard25ParticipantNice bunt to move Wong into scoring position following the balk. Ok, Marp…let’s get this one in.
March 30, 2019 at 6:57 pm #85188
stlcard25ParticipantCarp Ks, failing to get the runner in. Not a great start to the year for Matt.
March 30, 2019 at 6:59 pm #85189
stlcard25ParticipantGoldy comes through! Tied up at 1.
March 30, 2019 at 7:06 pm #85191
stlcard25ParticipantNow another dinger by the swing for the fences Crew. Welcome to reality, Dakota.
March 30, 2019 at 7:11 pm #85193
stlcard25ParticipantWhat in the world is going on?? Even mediocre hitters like Moustakas are taking Hudson deep now. He turning into Flaherty now?
March 30, 2019 at 7:16 pm #85194Hudson has allowed more homeruns (3) in his three innings today than he did all last year (1) in 139 innings.
All of these home runs are concerning.
March 30, 2019 at 7:24 pm #85196Yadi just misses another one. He’s getting a good swing on the ball but he’s hitting the ball to the deepest part of the park.
March 30, 2019 at 7:33 pm #85198
stlcard25ParticipantNice hitting by Wong to cut into the lead. Chance to tie it with a single. Jmart was on deck and they sent Hudson back up.
