I would guess Dodgers and Astros will be in the Series again. I dislike every team left but the Brewers would be the team I’d mind seeing win the least.
Brewers win their 12th straight, beating Kershaw and the Dodgers, 6-5.
The last time the Brewers lost a game, the #stlcards had a 1.5 game lead for the wild card.

Understandably, a crack crew of arbiter’s Brian has posted here for pennant play. Couple umps to watch are Mark Carlson while doing the 3B duties in the ALCS. Mark has been known to daydream at times when left handed batters are in the box. On close check swing calls, he’ll almost always give it a thumbs up. Also keep an open eye(or two) on Scott Barry manning the replay booth during games 3-7 in the NLCS. Scotty is a royal blue homer and if there’s any way conceivable to change an ump’s initial ruling so to hear the roar of the crowd, Scotty will pull the trigger on it. All else looks good.

Brewer’s pen coughs one up today and they lose 4-3. Miley was mowing them down and lifted after getting 17 of the first 19 batters on just 74 pitches. I guess it’s what they do. Yelich made the last out with the tying run on second base. Not a good way for the Brewers to finally lose one with their two biggest strengths not coming through at winning time.
James Hoye is making a great case on behalf of the advocates for electronic calling of balls/strikes.
Jeffress loads the bases in the ninth with one out, but fans the last two to protect the Brewers’ 4-0 win. Milwaukee is up two games to one.

Machado made his third very questionable play on the bases in the last two days, with the most recent kicking the ankle of Brewers 1B Jesus Aguilar. Not a good look at all for the upcoming free agent.

Many team officials across baseball frustrated, appalled by MLB decision on Astros/spygate. They believe that Rob Manfred threatened in past to come down hard on violators of electronic surveillance rule, and now with crystal-clear evidence of HOU breaking rules, nothing happens.

Major controversy in B1st in Houston. With a runner on, Altuve hit a ball to the first row in RF. Mookie Betts leaped up and looked to be able to catch the ball, but his glove and a fan’s hand collided and no catch was made. Umpire Joe West ruled fan interference so what would have been the game-tying homer was disallowed. It sure looked to me like that ball was over the fence and the fan did not reach over onto the field side.
Here is the rule as shared by a Red Sox writer who believes it was a home run. That is how bad the call was.
