Below are start times for Division Series games through Sunday, October 7th. FS1 or MLB Network will exclusively cover all National League Division Series games, while TBS will exclusively televise all American League Postseason action. #Postseason pic.twitter.com/y9OZQzziZG

NYY at Bos: Masahiro Tanaka vs. David PriceOctober 4, 2018 at 5:57 am #71689Those pitching matchups in the Cleveland-Houston series are just crazy. How do you pick a winner in any one of those first 3 games?? The only thing you can do is to just go with the home team, so that’s what I’m doing….the home teams reign in each and every game in this series…..Houston prevails 3-2.
Milwaukee should spank Colorado….I’ll call it The Crew 3 games to just 1 for Colorado.
It should be a most amusing series out on the east coast. The only thing one can safely predict is that something very unusual will occur in this heated series that will turn the tide. I’ll call it 3-2 Yanks. Also, I’m looking for any comments on Luke Voit’s amazing play in pinstripes and how in blazes we could have let this man go!
LA should blitz the Braves with relative ease. I like Atlanta to make some hay in October of ’19……..but not ’18. I’m calling this series 3-0 Dodgers.
October 4, 2018 at 7:49 am #71692Tough deal – the Athletics were about as good as any team in baseball over the final two months of the season, and then bam! – they are done.
I get the sense MLB is going to change to a best 2-of-3 for the first round games at some point. However, they have to shorten the regular season. Most any casual fan, or even somewhat more involved fan I talk to will comment that the length of the season is one of the things they do not like about the sport. At some point those that run the game have to look at “hidden” costs, and make decisions based on what is good for the game beyond actual dollars.
I hope the Rockies put in a good effort against the Crew. It is fun around here when a “Rockobter” occurs. The entire area really gets into it. Who knows, maybe they win the series. Often just when you think you have baseball figured out, it goes another direction. Both the Brewers and Rockies are playing great baseball. I think this one goes 5.
Houston should knock out the Tribe. The Red Sox might go down in history as one of the great teams of all-time if they can run the table. I see them in the Series. The Dodgers look to have come together at the right time and should get past Atlanta.
I will go with a “rerun” of the World Series from 102 years ago (1916 for those of you who are mathematically challenged), Dodgers and Red Sox. And like 102 years ago, the Red Sox win it, even though this modern version does not have Babe Ruth. But they have a four-letter-last-name lefty who is pretty good in Chris Sale.
If the Red Sox win the World Series, I think it will be the first time a team has won both the 19XX and 20XX Series.
October 4, 2018 at 7:34 pm #71779Rockies have tied Brewers 2-2 in the ninth.
October 4, 2018 at 8:19 pm #71784Brewers win 3-2 in the 10th on Moustakas’ walkoff single. Milwaukee again opens a series with a bullpen game-started win.
Dodgers up 4-0 over the Braves in the third.
October 5, 2018 at 1:33 pm #71833Noticed on a TBS graphic that five of Cleveland’s eight starting position players are multiple All-Stars as is their starting pitcher.
October 5, 2018 at 2:16 pm #71839Pugs,
Not to worry about Voit and his current level of play. Once the league catches up to him next year he wont be Clark Kent anymore. He’s about a .250 hitter with a little power in the long run.And whats the over/under on the benches clearing at least once in the Yankees/Red Sox series???

stlcard25ParticipantI’m rooting for the Indians and Brewers in the Series, with the Tribe taking their first title in a long time. That team is loaded, even though the Astros, Sox and Yankees are too.
October 5, 2018 at 2:52 pm #71842Rox Indians for me!

October 7, 2018 at 7:14 pm #71978Milwaukee sweeps Colorado in convincing fashion to advance to the NLCS.
October 7, 2018 at 7:29 pm #71979Surprised that the Rox never got their offense in gear in the post season. I thought they would roll in a few games, not necessarily winning a series but at least have a game here and there where they put up 7-9 runs.
October 7, 2018 at 8:53 pm #71981Dodgers at Braves is a tie at 5-5 in the fifth. It is an elimination game for Atlanta, who had opened up a 5-0 lead early.

ParticipantFreeman makes it 6-5
October 8, 2018 at 11:56 am #72023I noticed several of these mistakes that Costas and Kaat made last night. Most obvious was when they both said “Aguilera” multiple times. That is what happens when you bring in broadcasters who are not very familiar with the teams they are covering. Pretty bad mistakes on a national playoff broadcast, IMO.
October 8, 2018 at 12:59 pm #7202714NyquisT
ParticipantKaat was brutal in the AAA championship game. Too many errors to list and he wasn’t keeping up with changes. Then he called the replacement player the name of the player that he replaced. I guess many folks didn’t pick up some of the mistakes though.
Brewers looking real good right now, but they could cool off on a dime.
I’d like to see Milwaukee play Houston in the WS. Aren’t those the two teams that switched leagues?
October 8, 2018 at 2:41 pm #72028
MrperkinsParticipantI’ve been hoping for brewers Astros since the teams were announced. Go brewers.
October 8, 2018 at 3:38 pm #72029Costas is infallible. If he said it’s Aguilera, then check the birth certificate — ha. This just feeds into the Brewers’ zeal for the WS.
Kaat is 80 y/o, or very soon to be. I hope I’m doing that well at 80, but maybe Kaat isn’t the best choice for these games. I haven’t watched many of their games, so who else does MLB Network use as analysts in their broadcasts?
I didn’t watch much of the game, but I did see Costas singing the praises of Morosi after his post-game interview of Kratz, so I guess he did okay.
October 8, 2018 at 3:46 pm #72030Astros about to sweep. Springer just hit his second HR of the game to make the score 5-2 in the top of the 8th.
October 8, 2018 at 7:28 pm #72037Dodgers eliminate Braves three games to one.
Brewers and Dodgers for the NL pennant. Do they have pennants any more?
Really happy I won’t have to hear the tomahawk chop again for months.
