The catching tandem at Johnson City of Jackson (20 y.o.-6’3″) and Soto (19 y.o.-6’2″) have to be considered fairly good prospects also. There’s some room at State College for one of them.
There’s no doubt that Cedeno can hit, but he’ll have to hit well enough to find some room above which is quickly getting crowded.
John Nogowski is still rehabbing with the GCLs and having some fun… he even stole a base. However, all of his 10 hits have been singles (.370).
Mieses was HBP last night but ran for himself and played OF for inning before being replaced. I always worry when a guy gets hit and pulled.
The guy that gets little respect, Ravelo-MEM, is 16 for 32 (.500) in his last 10 games with 7 BBs and only 2 Ks. He started in LF last night just to keep his bat hot. It was his 19th start in that talented OF and he has 28 starts at first base. Maybe he’s the guy that should be in St. Louis.
