Brian’s article gave a pretty good run down. Second lefty for the pen with Bruihl.

Cardinals would have never made this trade last year. Juan Carlos had a very impressive ’25 effort as a 17 year old, but tapered off a bit this past season in the same league. Still just a kid, so Boston may have a diamond in the rough here…….but I’m totally ok with the transaction and look for big things out of Eduardo.

I am still trying to figure out if Rivera is eligible for the top prospect vote.

Bling I don’t see why not. Best I can tell he only has 12 days of service time to go with his 10 innings

Most people think Rivera is a reliever but he has actually started more in his career including. 3 major league starts

Yeah, Carioca, I happened to notice the other day that 3 of his 4 Big League appearances have been as a SP’er. Maybe the Cardinals and the one they call Bloom are entertaining wild and wacky thoughts of pulling the plug on Liberatore…

I think he is mostly effective vs LH batters.

I am excited about Rivera. Hts stat lines are great. Solid era, high K rate, and very low home run rate. If he is developed as a starter, he could be very valuable, while also being useful as a reliever.

    He did get DFAed though.

Looks like a fair trade for both sides.

We might have to include Rivera in our minor league starters.

The fact that red sox were designating him for assignment tells ne not to get too excited about him.

    As a starter anyway.
