I like that Sacramento ball park from what I see of it on TV. Smaller and more of an old school, relaxed, fun venue. Now the facilities might not be all that great for the players and support personnel, but the park itself is a great backdrop for a game.

In a few more minutes Madame CiF and I will be sitting down to a very ordinary dim-din of pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn and cornbread, with a beverage of iced tea and a dessert of fresh strawberries.

An afternoon game, I’ll be watching in real time rather than by replay tomorrow, hoping our birds can even things up in California and scurry back home to start thumping KC.

    Rah Cardinals!

The A’s Tiger tank blasts another tater way over the CF fence. This Kurtz youngster is stronger than Nancy’s breath…

A little baseball trivia for a beautiful May afternon…

Can any of you elite Cardinal fans explain the origin behind the A’s mascot affectionately known as “Stomper the Elephant?”

Victor Scott, of all people, ties it on a big fly.

Yeah, seems like the every time he stood in the box he squared around to bunt prior to the game tying tater.

Looks like most of our posters have taken the day off. Guess I’ll head for the kitchen and slather some blueberry jam on a chunk of cold cornbread as I watch our birds catch fire.

These A’s have kicked the baseball around pretty good in this series. Seems like they’ve been afflicted with as many Das Boots as the North Atlantic.

Sounds real good, CIF. I can enjoy cornbread and jelly as a makeshift dessert.

Just tuning in. Why did McGreevy get pulled with only 74 pitches?

I get home from work, we were up 3-1, then bullpen comes in well,we arent ahead anymore. Romero really struggling. Umpire calked a ball almost 3 inches off the plate a strike, they challenged of course. 9 total challenges in game. Just imagine how many were wrong otherwise. I guess umpires have their days

Personally i think if u win a challenge, you should get an extra one. Not just keep the one.

No logical reason, Bling. He allowed him to work through the 6th with a 2 run lead and then decided to hand the baseball to the BP for the home half of the 7th. He may have had some sort of a psychotic episode in the form of a bizarre flashback to game 1 of the ’22 NLWC…Either that or he’s going with what seems to be the latest fashion in regards to a SP’er being credited with a CG after 6 full innings of work…

Personally I think if a manager loses a challenge he should be subjected to the ol’ heave-ho…I really do. And throw a fine into the mix just for emphasis…

We’re going to lean on the Bogsider from Derry to seal this one shut.

And I jinxed him as he begins the inning with a HBP.
