The resident genius needs to slot Winn back to clean up so he can bunt…

The Dodgers and Brewers with the best start in the Big Leagues at 8-2. Meanwhile, the Reds, Padres and Mets have all won 4 in row.

Sure is quiet in this bar. I guess all of the Nationals fans are stuck in DC traffic trying to cross the Potomac…

And Weatherman strikes out swinging with the bases loaded in the top of the 6th.

4-2 Nationals heading to the last of the 6th now.

And the Reds plate two runs in the top of the 9th to tie the game with the Marlins 2-2.

The tying run scored with two outs on a wild pitch.

In the good old days Herrera would have run over Nunez.

And Fenton Walker jacks another one.

It’s now a 5-3 Nationals lead in the last of the 7th.

And now Church homers to tie the game.

Soriano looked super sharp in the bottom of the 8th. Aside from O’Brien, that was as dominating of an inning our bullpen has pitched yet this year.

In the short run, this team desperately needs a couple relievers to step up and become late inning options. Maybe Graceffo and Soriano can get there.

Walker smoked that line drive but Young made a great play. Walker is consistently hitting the ball hard and in the air

One out of sequence observation I have made is that Burleson seems to never dive for any balls. I’ve seen several grounders roll by him about 5 feet away where he never moves from the moment it is hit. Maybe it’s just a couple anomalies but that’s what I’ve seen.

Soriano with another great inning. Looked fantastic again.

Agree on Walker. His confidence is suddenly beaming. Every at bat is a must see event lately.

Yeah, they effectively eliminated the play at HP which was one of, if not the most exciting and amped up action plays in the game, Bling. I’ll never forget Jack Bucks call when Ray Lankford, who was a standout tailback in college, annihilated Darren Daulton to score the winning run against the Phillies in a game played at Busch Memorial in the early 90’s. Bucks radio call was, “He really knocked him cuckoo, folks”…Todays rules are formulated for Posies.

And now a 2-out double by Weatherman to increase the Redbird lead to 7-5.

They need every run they can get with their bullpen.

Jnevel I feel the same on Burly’s 1B defense. He is making mistakes, he just isn’t getting to balls other 1B would.

Outstanding defensive play on both ends for out number 2.
