Wishing ill will to someone like that isnt very nice regardless of your feelings for them. I hope he continues to do well. . Will be interesting to see how maye comes back from that first game. I will have to watch it on replay since i have practice today.
Hopefully May will get on track. If not, we all know we will suffer through bad pitching every 5 days because he has a contract. In other news, the pen has so far been a lot better than I had expected. Wetherholt’s OPS is .670 and he is looking kind of ordinary.
There is alot of green stuff just north and west/southwest of Detroit as I am typing this. But it looks like Detroit itself might stay dry and we get this game in. Hope so because I don’t want no DH tomorrow since this is our only trip into the Motor City.
And din-din today will be a Hungry Man’s Fried Chicken dinner, some deviled eggs, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and some Black Raspberry ice cream for dessert. Then a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar afterwards whilst me and Whitey Herdog sit on the couch and watch the game.
Sounds like a feast, Rat. We have grandkids this weekend so I think it will be dinosaur shaped McNuggets, tater tots, creamy cole slaw and Grape Crush soda pop. I’ll get a watermelon if I can find one.
For lunch today I am having a small cheese pizza, a few pretzels, and tall glass of cold Diet Mountain Dew.
For dinner tonight I have some chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce, potato salad, mexican street corn, and tall glass of cold skim milk. I will probably sneak in a little debbie chocolate brownie and one reece’s egg.
Walker struck out to finish off the Cardinals blown opportunity in the first. 2 on none out and get nothing but running up Flaherty’s pitch count.
That was a flub in right center. Scott is the CF, he has to take charge. Ha, either guy could have caught it and they score it a triple.
I think I see a stint on the IL coming for May – they will find something wrong with him; then 3-4 ‘rehab’ starts in the minors to try to reset him.
Yeah, think you are right ZTR. They could use that shot off the leg maybe as some sort of injury – put him on the 10-day and have him work some “rehab” assignments.
Thinking about our club I would have started the season this way with the lineup – thinking I don’t want JJ to feel like the future is all on him:

May to the DL and bring up Fitts would not be terrible. I know his first game was off, I wonder how much that shot off his leg messed with him today.
I’m really pleased about Walker. After an 0-10 in the last three games, would he lose it? Instead he’s scorched two for five RBI. If he can find his way back after he scuffles, that could go a long way.
Looks like the rain should hit the park around 4 Eastern. Could be a very late finish to this game today.
Church is no 0 for 18 (with one walk) since that first game. Do you give Koperniak one shot at a breakthrough until Noot is healthy? .969 OPS in those 17 ABs. Church seems less the “give him lots of runway” guy than Walker or Scott.
