12:10 p.m.
RHP Dustin May (0-1, 13.50) vs. RHP Jack Flaherty (0-1, 4.15)
Cards/TV // KMOXApril 3, 2026 at 10:11 pm #303900Our old friend Jack on the bump tomorrow.
I was rather hoping he’d washed out of the league by now.

ParticipantWishing ill will to someone like that isnt very nice regardless of your feelings for them. I hope he continues to do well. . Will be interesting to see how maye comes back from that first game. I will have to watch it on replay since i have practice today.
April 4, 2026 at 7:00 am #303910Hopefully May will get on track. If not, we all know we will suffer through bad pitching every 5 days because he has a contract. In other news, the pen has so far been a lot better than I had expected. Wetherholt’s OPS is .670 and he is looking kind of ordinary.
April 4, 2026 at 11:01 am #303924There is alot of green stuff just north and west/southwest of Detroit as I am typing this. But it looks like Detroit itself might stay dry and we get this game in. Hope so because I don’t want no DH tomorrow since this is our only trip into the Motor City.
And din-din today will be a Hungry Man’s Fried Chicken dinner, some deviled eggs, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and some Black Raspberry ice cream for dessert. Then a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar afterwards whilst me and Whitey Herdog sit on the couch and watch the game.
April 4, 2026 at 11:29 am #303926Sounds like a feast, Rat. We have grandkids this weekend so I think it will be dinosaur shaped McNuggets, tater tots, creamy cole slaw and Grape Crush soda pop. I’ll get a watermelon if I can find one.
April 4, 2026 at 12:12 pm #303928For lunch today I am having a small cheese pizza, a few pretzels, and tall glass of cold Diet Mountain Dew.
For dinner tonight I have some chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce, potato salad, mexican street corn, and tall glass of cold skim milk. I will probably sneak in a little debbie chocolate brownie and one reece’s egg.
April 4, 2026 at 12:24 pm #303929Walker struck out to finish off the Cardinals blown opportunity in the first. 2 on none out and get nothing but running up Flaherty’s pitch count.
April 4, 2026 at 12:33 pm #303930May isn’t fooling anyone, and Scott boots one in CF. jeesh. 3-0 already.
April 4, 2026 at 12:39 pm #303931Pages is one knee down with his butt on the ground even with a runner on first.
April 4, 2026 at 1:00 pm #303932May’s goal: “Get my ERA below double digits before I come out of the game.”
April 4, 2026 at 1:11 pm #303934Walker hits a pitch that’s 5 inches high for our first run in awhile.
April 4, 2026 at 1:22 pm #303935I see they run on Scott’s arm. 4-1.
April 4, 2026 at 1:23 pm #303936Scott wasn’t very deep but he missed Pages by about 15 feet to his right on the throw home.
April 4, 2026 at 1:31 pm #303937May – 2 starts with six (or more) runs in each. Maybe May can be better in May.
April 4, 2026 at 1:35 pm #303938That was a flub in right center. Scott is the CF, he has to take charge. Ha, either guy could have caught it and they score it a triple.
April 4, 2026 at 1:37 pm #303939I think I see a stint on the IL coming for May – they will find something wrong with him; then 3-4 ‘rehab’ starts in the minors to try to reset him.
April 4, 2026 at 1:42 pm #303940Yeah, think you are right ZTR. They could use that shot off the leg maybe as some sort of injury – put him on the 10-day and have him work some “rehab” assignments.
April 4, 2026 at 1:43 pm #303941Here’s a chance for good ol Gormy. 2nd and third nobody out.
April 4, 2026 at 1:47 pm #303942Thinking about our club I would have started the season this way with the lineup – thinking I don’t want JJ to feel like the future is all on him:
Scott
Winn
Burleson
Herrera
Gorman
Walker
Wetherholt
Pages/Pozo
ChurchApril 4, 2026 at 1:49 pm #303943Man, our old buddy Jack had an easy win and can’t get through five. A bit of a quick hook.
And Walker drills one!!
April 4, 2026 at 1:49 pm #303944Walker with a salami. He is having a day O and D. 7-6.
April 4, 2026 at 1:50 pm #303945Saggese not very good pitch selection on that AB.
April 4, 2026 at 2:03 pm #303946May to the DL and bring up Fitts would not be terrible. I know his first game was off, I wonder how much that shot off his leg messed with him today.
I’m really pleased about Walker. After an 0-10 in the last three games, would he lose it? Instead he’s scorched two for five RBI. If he can find his way back after he scuffles, that could go a long way.
April 4, 2026 at 2:24 pm #303947Looks like the rain should hit the park around 4 Eastern. Could be a very late finish to this game today.
Church is no 0 for 18 (with one walk) since that first game. Do you give Koperniak one shot at a breakthrough until Noot is healthy? .969 OPS in those 17 ABs. Church seems less the “give him lots of runway” guy than Walker or Scott.
