The St. Louis Cardinals system had an 0-4 Sunday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Peoria OF Won-Bin Cho, singled, doubled, tripled, walked, stole a base and scored three times. Other standouts include R.J. Yeager, Leonel Sequera, Joshua Baez and Christian Martin.

The Memphis Redbirds (24-27) were handled by the Charlotte Knights (24-25, CWS) 8-3 on Sunday at AutoZone Park. In five innings, starter Gordon Graceffo allowed five runs on nine hits including three home runs while striking out six.

The Knights took the lead in the top of the fourth with a two-run homer and a solo home run to make the score 3-1.
Chandler Redmond’s solo moonshot in the bottom of the fourth brought the game to within one.

Charlotte responded with another two-run dinger in the fifth to make the score 5-2. The visitors put the game out of reach in the eighth with an RBI double and two RBI singles.
The Redbirds put one more run on the board with Jordan Walker’s RBI single in the ninth.
Redmond went 1-for-4 with a home run, an RBI, and a run scored. Walker was 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI. Ramon Mendoza was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. The Redbirds totaled three runs on 11 hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts while hitting 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
Riley O’Brien threw a scoreless inning, allowing a hit. Chris Roycroft pitched a scoreless inning while striking out two. Andre Granillo threw an inning, giving up three runs on four hits while walking one. Ryan Shreve threw a scoreless inning, yielding a walk while striking out two. Memphis allowed eight runs on 14 hits while walking two and striking out 10.
The Redbirds split their home series with the Charlotte Knights. They will travel to Iowa to face the Iowa Cubs (22-29, CHC) in a six-game road series.

The Springfield Cardinals (33-19) were defeated by the Tulsa Drillers (23-27, LAD) 5-3 on Sunday at Hammons Field. In three innings, starter Wilfredo Pereira allowed two runs on three hits while walking two and striking out four.

The Drillers responded in the second with a solo longball and an RBI single to tie the game at two. Tulsa took the lead in the top of the fifth with a two-RBI triple.
The Cardinals brought the game to within one in the bottom half of the inning when Noah Mendlinger scored after the opposing pitcher balked.
The visitors added one final run in the eighth on another solo shot to make the score 5-3.
Benito Garcia took his first loss this season, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out one in two innings. Edwin Nuñez threw two scoreless innings, yielding two walks while striking out two. Andrew Marrero pitched an inning, giving up a run on a hit while striking out two. Nathanael Heredia threw a scoreless inning while striking out one. Springfield allowed five runs on eight hits while walking four and striking out 10.
Aaron McKeithan went 3-for-3 including two doubles and a walk. Yeager hit a home run, walked, drove in two and scored one. Mendlinger doubled, walked, and scored a run. The Cardinals totaled three runs on 10 hits with four walks and eight strikeouts.
The Springfield Cardinals took five of six at home against the Tulsa Drillers with their seven-game winning streak ended Sunday. The Cardinals will travel to Wichita to face the Wind Surge (20-31, MIN) in a six-game series.

In a back-and-forth contest in which all four Peoria pitchers yielded runs, the Chiefs (28-26) fell to the Fort Wayne TinCaps (19-35, SD) 8-5 on Sunday at Dozer Park. Starter Darlin Saladin pitched five innings, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out five.
The Chiefs took the lead in the first with Leonardo Bernal’s RBI single, a wild pitch that let Chase Davis come home, and Tre Richardson’s RBI single.
The TinCaps tied it in the third with an RBI single and a two-run homer.
Peoria regained the lead in the fourth on Brody Moore’s RBI single.
Hunter Hayes took the mound in the top of the sixth and allowed a two-RBI double to give Fort Wayne a 5-4 lead.
Brayden Jobert’s RBI forceout in the bottom of the sixth tied the game again.
The visitors broke the deadlock in the eighth with two RBI singles and added an insurance run in the ninth on a solo home run.
Hayes pitched two innings, yielding two runs on four hits while walking one and striking out four. Osvaldo Berrios took his third loss this season, throwing an inning, giving up two runs, one earned, on three hits while striking out two. Roy Garcia pitched an inning, conceding one run on one hit. Peoria allowed eight runs, seven earned, on 12 hits while walking one and striking out 11.
Won-Bin Cho hit 3-for-3 with a single, double, a triple, a walk, a stolen base and three runs scored. Richardson was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Moore went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. The Chiefs totaled five runs on 11 hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
The Peoria Chiefs took their series against the Fort Wayne TinCaps, winning four of six despite dropping their last two games. The Chiefs will travel to Beloit to face the Beloit Sky Carp (25-29, MIA on Tuesday in a six-game series.

The Palm Beach Cardinals (37-15) blew an early lead and lost 8-5 to the St. Lucie Mets (18-34, NYM) on Sunday at Clover Park. Starter Leonel Sequera pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run, none earned, on four hits while walking three and striking out five.
The Cardinals struck first in the second with Bryce Madron’s bases-loaded walk, a passed ball that let Heriberto Caraballo score, and Joshua Baez’s two-RBI single.
They extended their lead to 5-0 in the top of the fifth on Christian Martin’s RBI single, but their scoring stopped there.
The Mets put a run on the board in the bottom of the fifth with a sacrifice fly.
In the ninth, it all fell apart for the Cards. Randel Clemente loaded the bases and was replaced by Luis Gastelum, who conceded an RBI fielder’s choice, a two-RBI double, and a grand slam to make the score 8-5.
Nelfy Infante pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out two. Michael Watson threw a scoreless inning, giving up a walk while striking out one. Clemente threw 1/3 of an inning, conceding three runs, two earned, on a hit while walking two. Gastelum took his second loss this season, yielding four runs, none earned, on two hits while walking one and striking out one. Palm Beach allowed eight runs, two earned, on nine hits while walking eight and striking out nine.
Lizandro Espinoza was 1-for-3 with a walk, a hit-by-pitch, and a run scored. Martin went 2-for-2 with three walks, an RBI, and a run scored. Baez went 1-for-4 with two RBI. The Cardinals totaled five runs on eight hits with nine walks and nine strikeouts.
The Palm Beach Cardinals took five of six from the St. Lucie Mets in their road series. The Cardinals will come home to face the Daytona Tortugas (28-23) on Tuesday in a seven-game series, including a doubleheader on Wednesday.
