The Salt River Rafters lost to the Surprise Saguaros on Friday. Pedro Pages singled, doubled and drove in one. Jordan Walker was 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored. Masyn Winn was 0-for-5 with three strikeouts. Mike Antico pinch ran in the eighth.

Salt River Rafters 3 at Surprise Saguaros 5
Four St. Louis Cardinals saw action in Salt River’s Friday road loss at Surprise.
Shortstop Masyn Winn was in the starting lineup hitting second. In the first inning, Winn struck out swinging. He grounded out to third in the third inning.
Winn struck out swinging in both the fifth and seventh innings. In the ninth, he grounded into a double play.
Center fielder Jordan Walker hit fourth in the lineup. In the first inning Walker popped out to the shortstop. He drew a walk in the third inning. After taking second by tagging up on a fly out to left, Walker was left stranded at third base.
In the fifth inning, Walker grounded out to the shortstop. He drew a walk in the eighth and later scored on a single by Pages.
Pedro Pages hit eighth in the lineup. The catcher doubled to left in his first plate appearance in the second inning but was left stranded. Pages grounded out to the pitcher in the fourth.
In the sixth inning, Pages drew a walk but was left stranded on first base. Pages singled and drove in teammate Walker in the eighth. Mike Antico pinch ran for Pages and was left stranded on first base. Antico did not take the field.
Salt River is 11-16 on the season.
Saturday’s game: AFL Home Run Derby, with no Cardinals participating. The AFL Fall Stars Game will be held on Sunday. After taking Monday off, the Rafters’ next scheduled game is Tuesday, November 8 at Mesa Solar Sox, pitchers TBA vs TBA, 1:35 CT.
