The St. Louis Cardinals system went 2-2 on Thursday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Errol Robinson, homered, drew four walks, stole a base, drove in three and scored four times. Other standouts include Juan Yepez, Masyn Winn, Dionys Rodriguez and Victor Scott.

The Memphis Redbirds (60-59) fell to the Charlotte Knights (CWS, 48-71) at AutoZone Park on Thursday.
After Thomas Parsons tossed four scoreless innings, it fell apart as he surrendered five runs in the next 1 2/3 innings. The right-hander yielded seven hits, walked three and struck out five. In his second game as a Redbird, T.J. McFarland gave up three runs and took his first Memphis loss in only 1/3 of an inning.
The Redbirds took an early lead in the first inning after Juan Yepez doubled to plate Ben DeLuzio. In the third, Memphis scored five runs. Yepez blasted his 13th homer for the Redbirds, a two-run shot. Clint Coulter drove in two with a double and Cory Spangenberg singled to bring Coulter across.

The Knights scored all 12 runs in the last five innings. Johan Quezada was charged with two runs in two innings on five hits, a walk and three strikeouts. In the ninth, Junior Fernández surrendered two runs.
Yepez went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. Kramer Robertson walked twice and had one hit. Every starter except Luken Baker was on base at least once.
Conner Capel recorded an outfield assist.

Springfield 14 at NW Arkansas 6
The Springfield Cardinals (26-22) crushed the Northwest Arkansas Travelers (SEA, 22-26) on Thursday night at Arvest Ballpark. The lineup walked a record 15 times in the contest.
Starter Gordon Graceffo tossed 2 1/3 innings and surrendered three runs on a hit, five walks and two strikeouts. In 2 2/3 innings, Domingo Robles gave up three runs on five hits.
The Cardinals scored the first run of the game in the third inning via Chase Pinder’s sacrifice fly. The Travelers responded with three in the home half. Springfield took back the lead with four runs in the fourth.
Errol Robinson hit his first home run for Springfield, a two-run blast. Masyn Winn and Pinder both plated one to make the score 5-3.
Michael YaSenka recorded a scoreless 1 2/3 innings and earned his first Double-A win. Michael Brettell pitched the final 2 1/3 scoreless innings and earned his first save of the year.
After Arkansas took the lead in the fifth, the Cardinals scored nine runs over the seventh and eighth innings. Julio Rodriguez, Nick Dunn, Robinson and Pinder all walked with the bases loaded in the seventh. Jonah Davis also doubled to score two. In the eighth, Brady Whalen came across on a wild pitch and Winn tripled to make the score 14-6.
The Cardinals had 15 walks in the game. Robinson had a home run, four walks, three RBI and four runs scored. Winn and Pinder both had two walks and three RBI. Every player in the lineup was on base at least once except Matt Koperniak.
Robinson stole his fifth bag of 2022. Koperniak recorded an outfield assist.
Friday’s game: at NW Arkansas, RHP Kyle Leahy (8-7, 6.21) vs. RHP Andrew Hoffmann (1-3, 6.26) 7:05 CT
On Thursday at ABC Supply Stadium, the Peoria Chiefs (21-30) were walked off by the Beloit Sky Carp (MIA, 27-24) for the second consecutive night.
Starter Dionys Rodriguez surrendered an unearned run on three hits, one walk and five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
In the third, Tommy Jew blasted a solo home run, his sixth of the year. In his last 10 games, the center fielder is slashing .279/.392/.558.
Chris Gerard pitched the final 2 1/3 innings and was charged with the go-ahead run in the ninth. The left-hander fanned four but took his second High-A loss.
In the ninth, Tyler Reichenborn and Noah Mendlinger had two consecutive singles with two out but Ramon Mendoza struck out after seven pitches. The Sky Carp won the game with a walk-off homer.
Reichenborn and Jew both had two hits. The lineup went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.
Friday’s game: at Beloit, RHP Inohan Paniagua (1-2, 4.91) vs. RHP Jake Walters (0-1, 5.00) 6:35 CT
In the battle for first place, the Palm Beach Cardinals (28-23) topped the St. Lucie Mets (NYM, 27-24) at Clover Park on Thursday. Six different Cardinal pitchers were used in the game.
Starter Jose Davila was charged with four runs on five hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings. Bryan Pope earned his third win of the year after a scoreless 2/3 of an inning. 2022 draftee Tanner Jacobson surrendered a run in one inning.
The Mets scored one run in each of the first through fifth innings but the Beach Birds kept responding. In the second, Darlin Moquete walked with the bases loaded and Victor Scott II scored one via sacrifice fly. Joshua Baez came across in the third after a wild pitch.
In the fourth inning, Scott blasted his first professional home run, a two-run shot. Jeremy Rivas and Leonardo Bernal doubled in the fifth to make the score 8-4. Chris Rotondo added one more with a sacrifice fly.

Gustavo Rodriguez fanned three batters in two scoreless innings. D.J. Carpenter and Nelfi Contreras each recorded a scoreless inning with one strikeout.
In the eighth, R.J. Yeager hit his third homer of the year, a solo shot. Bernal blasted a solo shot in the ninth, his sixth of the season.
Thomas Francisco, Scott, Rivas and Bernal all had two hits. Scott had a triple, home run and three RBI. The lineup recorded eight extra-base hits.
Moquete and Scott each took one base.
