With the St. Louis Cardinals having splitting four at Colorado following their discouraging 15-inning loss on Thursday, the club flew to Milwaukee for a weekend series against the Brewers. St. Louis’ lead dropped to one game over Pittsburgh, which plays third-place Cincinnati (two games back), at home.
Here are the probable matchups in Milwaukee:
Fri., Sept. 20: Shelby Miller (14-9, 3.01) vs. Johnny Hellweg (1-4, 8.31) 7:10 p.m. CT, FOX Sports Midwest and KMOX.
Sat., Sept. 21: Lance Lynn (13-10, 4.18) vs. Yovani Gallardo (11-9, 4.29) 6:10 p.m. CT, FOX Sports Midwest and KMOX.
Sun., Sept. 22: Joe Kelly (9-4, 2.74) vs. Wily Peralta (10-15, 4.34) 7:05 p.m. CT, ESPN and KMOX.
Note the original Sunday afternoon game was moved to the evening and will be nationally-televised by ESPN.
