What, no activity here? I see we are behind 1-0 in the 3rd. I’d hate to lose both ends of this DH to the Mets. Need to finally get some runs. 15 on Sunday night and then only one in Game #1. And so far none thru three innings in Game #2.

This team isn’t very good, not very consistent, in hitting with runners on base.

Cards get a run in the 4th on a single by Donovan and double by Goldschmidt. Then O’Neill strikes out with runners on the corners and one out.

O’Neill has struck out 4-5 times so far today. How much longer before he goes to Memphis for a stint to learn how to put the ball in play a little better? Most here on this Forum expected him to return to his striking out all the time norm.

I see we lost the opener. Up 3-2 here in the 5th. Donovan hitting up in the order is interesting.

A late din din is lamb chops in the air fryer.

Good luck at the vet, Rat.

Finally back from the salt mines, and I’m kind of with Rat regarding O’Neill. This is now going above and beyond your basic garden variety prolonged slump. He needs to kick it in gear quick or get sent down to try to right his weakening lumber. I bet he’s kicking himself now for not getting that lucrative extension signed a couple of months ago. I bet the Cards now don’t mind waiting awhile to see how his season takes shape. But I’m certainly not giving up on O’Neill yet…..that would border on the ludicrous at this point. Lamb chops for Bling tonight…..I bet with a dab of rosemary sauce to boot. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway……quite possibly one of the greatest albums ever made. Go Birds!

The Cards leave Bader & Edman stranded at 3rd & 2nd respectively to end the Cardinal 6th. 3-2 St. Louis.

It seems like we have left a bunch of runners in scoring position tonight.

Neil Andre Pallante on for St. Louis in the 6th. With 1 out, Neil gets behind Canha 3-0, then comes back to get the count full and then walks him on a pitch way outside. Then the next batter, Lindor, walks on 4 straight. In steps Alonso. And he’s got a nasty case of ballsitis, as he walks Alonso on 4 straight…..get him out of here!

He’s gone…..looks like Genesis (properly pronounced “Hen-a-sis” “Cabby” Cabrera your new Cardinal pitcher.

Goldys 3 for 3 so far in this game. O’Niels leaving some costly runs waiting on base. Don’t need another DeJong. Carlson and Sosa are hitless in this game. Come on Cardinals lets take this one!

They must have a kindergartner running the soundboard. What’s up with the different volumes on every different camera angle?

    So Annoying!!!!!!!

Annoyed me enough that I had to log on and complain.

Pallante walks the bases full in a one run game. Get that man a bus ticket.

Well you didn’t get your twin killing, Tscurlo, but your wish still came to fruition, as Cabby mows down the two Mets he faced to keep our Birds on top in this ballgame 3-2.

Ohhh Goldy leads off the 7th with a drive to left that would have left the yard if the wind was blowing out at 8 mph instead of 7 mph .

    Cards quickly go down 1-2-3.

    Anyone seen Wooster Gooster tonight?

Cabby your main man in the 7th……ohhh and he nearly threw his easy toss over to Goldy away, as the Cardinal 1st baseman had to nicely dig the throw out of the dirt to register the out.
Cabby walks the very speedy Jankowski with 1 out. Nido raps into a tailor made 5-4-3 DP, but Tommy E. couldn’t get the proper handle on the ball and thus threw a rather zany errant ball to 1st which could not be caught…..runner at 1st with 2 down .

    Nimmo grounds out 6-3.

Top of 8. Medina center stage for NY.

O’Neill on 3-2 strikes out looking and he’s lost in space up at the plate right now….. that’s 6…..count them …6 strike outs for him in this twin bill.

Sosa infield single on a ball that the Met SS could have caught, but would have been a dandy play if he had, thus the ruling of a hit instead of an error.

    Bader flies out to center

Knizner infield hit, as the 2nd baseman, Lindor, almost robbed the Cardinal catcher of his grounder that was ticketed for center field….and that will do it for Medina as the Mets are making a mound maneuver with Cardinals stationed at 1st & 2nd with 2 outs.

    Rodriguez on for NY

Edman grounds out……as Knizner came within an eyelash of beating that throw to 2nd.

Saw the first game Pugs. Watching this one on Gameday. Edman had the chance to put us up but grounded out! Just can’t get a break. Not far to go- hope our pitching holds up.At least Tommy didn’t whiff!

Got to hang on here in game 2. Tomorrow does not look good with Scherzer going for the home club.

Man, we are really giving away outs in this one. Reminiscent of that home game we gave away against these guys in April.

It’s early, but the Mets have that team-of-destiny look. Winning games they shouldn’t.

That McNeil is a good player – sort of their version of Edman.

You can thank Tyler O’Neill for this tie game. That was a huge blunder on the foul ball from a guy whose won a GG.

I hate to say this because I haven’t been a huge advocate of this. O’Neill after this game should be sent down.
