We got a break last night as the red hot Cubs, winners of 14 of their last 17, lost in San Francisco to the Giants by the score of 7-2. A three run dinger by Brandon Crawford was the big blow.

I’m not sure what’s wrong with Norman Arenado but I hope he figures it out – and real soon! Milwaukee is creeping up on us.

Din-din this afternoon will be some Kentucky Fried Chicken. I am heading to Lowe’s in Vincennes and then over to the Indiana Military Museum as well. Me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch tonight, tuning in to this one. Then we will finish watching the Cubs/Giants out west.

Was over in Vincennes a few weeks back to watch my son’s JUCO team play. First time there … appears to hold a lot of history. Will want to go back this fall and see some of the historic sites.

You need to check out the Indiana Military Museum while you are over in Vincennes. Quite impressive!

Is Mahle still going in this one? Or are the Reds sending Castillo to the hill tonight?

KK exits the game with an injury. This rotation is toast.

This team is toast. 4 starting pitchers on IL at same time.

    God its brutal out here.

Things in Appleton here are looking brighter than in St Louis. We’re in the bottom of the 3rd and our Chiefs presently maintain an 8-0 advantage. Both Whalen and Richardson have already clubbed 2 dongaroos.

din din was spam fried rice. Don’t ask. Tuned in to the game to find a smoldering crater where the rotation had been. Life is cruel like that.

This Reds pitcher has the Cards shut out through 4 on 1 hit. Anyone know what his record is, and ERA?

The number of hit batters by this staff is ridiculous.

Woodford vs Castellanos…think he’ll pitch inside?

They keep flashing that the Reds have a .324 team OBP this year, which is 5th in the majors. That’s seems really low, but OBP has been waning for years.

Carp just keeps hitting it into the shift. Twice in 2 ABs tonight. Might as well just stand there and hope for a walk.

Heck of a catch there by Tyler O’Neill. I was fearful that we had another injury in the making there.

Miller is getting in on the HBP act. Excellent.

Well I just caught the score after finishing some things up. Offense not picking us up when we need it most unfortunately

As much as it would suck, finishing (almost?) last in MLB might do this team some good in the long run.

Looks like middle of the order had another chance to do something great and did nothing. Hopefully we can split

Lose another pitcher, start carpenter again, he gets one hit last night and suddenly they think he’s Stan Musial. I don’t know. This team has issues all across the board.

Is it just me or does it feel like this team is slowly falling apart? We may not be fully right until after the all star break. The question is can we do enough to keep it together mentally so that when we do figure it out and get healthy, will it be too late or will someone step up and keep us afloat and give us a fighting chance heading into the final 2 months? I honestly don’t know.

    Well…..yes!!!

The staff has been decimated by injuries. The bullpen is questionable and we aren’t hitting well. This is recipe for disaster. This is where your depth and manager keep you alive. Only issue is our depth is about as bad as it’s been in a long time.
