Memphis at Iowa, 7:08 pm CT, Genesis Cabrera (5-6, 5.91)
Springfield vs. Midland, 7:10 pm CT, Merandy Gonzalez (2-3, 6.51)
Peoria vs. Beloit, 6:35 pm CT, Colin Schmid (6-6, 4.63)
State College at Mahoning Valley, 7:05 pm ET/6:05 pm CT, Scott Politz (3-3, 4.64)
Johnson City at Bristol, 6:30 pm ET/5:30 pm CT, Jake Sommers (0-0, —) regular season – (2-3. 4.18)August 30, 2019 at 10:10 am #104355I hope Cabrera can pitch another gem. He has too much talent to get hit as hard as he has this year.
August 30, 2019 at 5:51 pm #104386Will Palm Beach attempt to play any of the rained out games? Will they shorten the season because of the hurricane? They named co champions a few years ago, but the playoffs have yet to start.
August 30, 2019 at 7:59 pm #104396The FSL and GCL are done for 2019.

stlcard25ParticipantNot looking good for Memphis early on in their must win game. They are down 5-0 in the 3rd.
August 30, 2019 at 8:23 pm #104401RHP Tommy Parsons has received his third promotion this season, moving up to Memphis from Springfield. With Daniel Ponce de Leon set to start for #stlcards Sunday, Parsons is likely stepping into his scheduled Memphis start on Saturday vs. Iowa in Des Moines. pic.twitter.com/JqyzgUzs9F

August 30, 2019 at 10:27 pm #104408Johnson City lost 5-4 giving up 3 runs in the 8th.
Memphis lost 5-1 to end their run for the division championship. Adolis
Garcia, Knizner and Nogowski not playing? Parsons gave up all 5 runs in the first inning. What happened to Cabrera.August 30, 2019 at 10:44 pm #104410I missed that initially. My guess is that Cabrera was pulled to be a fresh arm as the 26th man for Saturday’s double-header.
August 30, 2019 at 10:50 pm #104412Why was Ponce placed on the reserve list?
Anyways, the PCL division race ended up being anticlimactic with the Redbirds losing.
August 30, 2019 at 11:05 pm #104413Memphis was at 26 players when Parsons was added today to start for Cabrera. They had to make room to get to 25, so my guess is that Ponce de Leon was taken off Memphis’ roster early. (Now, StL won’t add him until Sunday, and will use someone else – likely Cabrera – as the 26th man Saturday.)
August 31, 2019 at 6:13 am #104422Jose Martinez had a nice rehab in Springfield as per their site:
” Rehabbing St. Louis Cardinals OF Jose Martinez finished his fifth and expected final rehab appearance with Springfield 1-for-3 with a strikeout. Martinez batted 8-for-16 with one double, one steal and four RBIs during his rehab stint.”August 31, 2019 at 7:57 am #104436The #stlcards system was 1-4 on Friday. JC lost Game 1 of its playoff series. Our Player of the Day is State College C Matt Duce, who went 4-for-6 with two RBI and two runs as the Spikes avoided elimination for one more day. Memphis was not as fortunate. https://t.co/g63KRVSRa2 pic.twitter.com/embBWihpfc
