stlcard25ParticipantThe Cards have never faced Gonzalez, which never bodes too well. Hopefully they got some of the “unfamiliar RHP” bad mojo purged last night and will knock this guy around tonight. Gotta keep the pressure on the Cubs while they are facing the Nats, who have been hot.
August 24, 2019 at 11:21 am #103571Something special about a ball game on a Saturday night isn’t there? Teams doing good. Got one of our best pitchers up. Home game and a very good chance of wining. Doesn’t get much better than that. Go Cardinals!
August 24, 2019 at 12:22 pm #103573The only thing better is if the game was Saturday afternoon.
Rah CardinalsAugust 24, 2019 at 12:27 pm #103577Hopefully the Cardinals can keep it rolling.
I’m really never confidant in this team. Just can’t get there.
August 24, 2019 at 5:31 pm #103601More good news.
The Nats down the Cubs again today by the score of 7-2. We can be 1.5 games up after tonight if we are victorious.

August 24, 2019 at 6:39 pm #103604Nice when the first two hitters get on. Chance for a couple of runs. 2-0, and the Rockies have to fight back.
August 24, 2019 at 6:46 pm #103605Lookin good, got a couple runs w/ small ball. Making good contact.
August 24, 2019 at 6:54 pm #103606Even a leadoff double doesn’t hurt if they can’t move the runner.
August 24, 2019 at 7:02 pm #103607Yowza, Bader w/ a two run dinger!
August 24, 2019 at 7:02 pm #1036084-0 after two, with a Bader two-run shot. If Bader hits, it makes a huge difference in this lineup.
August 24, 2019 at 7:10 pm #103609Yeah and hes doin good too since he came back from Memphis.
August 24, 2019 at 8:01 pm #103610Bases loaded, cf drops a catch hit by DeJong , got another run
Hudsons lookin like Flaherty!August 24, 2019 at 8:05 pm #103611Seven walks helps. That was the first run not driven in by a hit tonight. Only three hits to five runs.
August 24, 2019 at 8:39 pm #103612They have outhit us 5-4, trail 0-5.
August 24, 2019 at 8:43 pm #103613I’ll take em any way we can get em. Didn’t know we only have 4 hits though. Hope our bull pen holds on. Wong just got hurt-oh no.
August 24, 2019 at 8:47 pm #103614Goldy just got a dinger Diz
August 24, 2019 at 8:59 pm #103615The Wong injury is a concern. He is essential.
August 24, 2019 at 9:17 pm #103616
stlcard25ParticipantI just got home. What happened to Wong??
Nice to see the offense and pitching do well again. Even Leone has looked good here in the 9th. He was dominant in Memphis so if he can even be a middle reliever and provide solid results that would be a great boost to the pen. Man, that stuff was filthy there as he finishes it off, 6-0!! 1.5 game lead.
August 24, 2019 at 9:18 pm #103617Fouled a ball off his foot. Had to be helped down the stairs by trainers.
The Cards now have more wins in the ghost uniforms than the powder blue uniforms.
August 24, 2019 at 9:23 pm #103618
stlcard25ParticipantOuch! I hope he’s alright. He’s been a very good player for us over the last couple of months. So it looks like Carp went to 3B and Edman slid to 2B?
August 24, 2019 at 9:29 pm #103619Another great start from Hudson! Bull pen threw well. Going for the sweep tomorrow.
August 24, 2019 at 9:56 pm #103621Based on previous medical history with the Cardinals we’ll find out tomorrow they’ll have to amputate his toe.
Kolten Wong says there is no fracture in big toe, just a lot of pain and swelling and bleeding that needed to be alleviated by drilling a hole in the nail. He’s on crutches. Out for several days, but encouraged by initial x-rays. #cardinals

August 24, 2019 at 10:10 pm #103622Guess they need compisite toe cleats with metatarusal guards, hey maybe I can invent them and get on sharks!
