I’m glad you did this thread jnevel. Back when our team was 9 games over.500 on June 29 some posters were demanding we be sellers regardless of how the team was doing I brought up the 2023 deadline as a reminder that the return we receive was probably not going to be organization altering so the expectations should be tempered.
Yes I suppose getting some depth pieces are better than nothing but unless the Cardinals go bold by trading Donovan, Herrera, or Burly (which I would be very hesitant to do) then depth pieces are what we will get.
