I have said numerous times that a D & D organization (draft & develop) can’t afford to have their first rounders be busts unless they are willing to compensate for that in the upper end of the FA market. 2025 is extremely important for Gorman and Walker.
I have never been that high on Noot. As I recall he wasn’t considered to be a blue chip prospect coming up through the minors so I guess in someways he has over-performed but the bottom line is that you can’t count on him to stay on the field and I think expectations of him have been wildly exaggerated. Now that he is earning arb money he will be more scrutinized by the front office bean counters. I would bundle him with Matz and send them to Sacramento.
