I don’t think any player is worth that kind of money regardless of how many years and how much is deferred. Now if they go off and win 5 or 6 world series in that time and he’s leading them then maybe I’ll be talking different. The Yankees paid ruth far more money than anyone else was making and that led to a 40 year dominance. Dont see that happening here but time will tell the story. But I give the dodgers credit for going out and getting a player they wanted.
