Freddie Freeman’s now beginning to stand in the way of Acuna Jr. for the frontrunner for NL MVP. In my view, he’s clearly the best hitter in the NL and probably the entire Big Leagues. Freddie’s no joke and seems to never slump. He covers all areas of the strike zone, sprays the baseball over all areas of the field, hits for average and hits for power. He just hits. And not only does he hit, he looks real good doing it. With the possible exception of Altuve, I think Freddie’s the odds on favorite to be the next player to reach the 3000 hit plateau.
