In the 2020 SABR Defensive Index for catchers, Contreras was no. 3 in the NL, one spot ahead of Molina. In 2021, Contreras Was fifth (Molina was third). Contreras’ SDI were 2.2 and 2.9, respectively.
For some reason that I do not understand, neither of them are listed for 2022.
