Quite possible. Of course, no one outside knows the team’s internal accounting. Did they take in one year or multiples? Did they apply it all to player payroll, etc.?
Also, each MLB team started getting more than $3 MM extra in 2020 and it will continue each season for the next nine years just to wear the Nike swoosh. The money keeps flowing in…
