Miller is playing baseball. He isn’t personally negotiating anything. That isn’t how it works. Further, Miller is hardly the only MLB player with vesting in his contract. The union represents all of them. Anyway, how is he any different from Bill DeWitt owning a team who has to pay player options, if he was asked a question about the negotiations? It is the other side of the same mirror. I don’t get this supposed conflict of interest at all.
