Nunez was my toughest call. I could easily be wrong. The variable we don’t know is how many of the 60 spots will be used for development and how many will be for MLB-ready players.
Schrock should be in the taxi squad mix, but needs a few health breaks (positive for him and negative for others ahead of him).
Reyes and Sosa should be in the StL 44 mix. Reyes has the better chance to be among the 30.
Good point on Ortega, who might even be ahead of Julio Rodriguez. Or maybe they will be safer with seven catchers.
Gil is so far away from StL and the numbers are tight. With a 65-man roster, he would be on my list.
Roberts? Maybe not, but they invested a lot in him to sit him out all year.
Nogowski I think will definitely be included, but Baker I had already left off, so I agree.
One reason I updated the article was that Dobzanski was still in camp on March 12, but Elledge had been sent out.
There could also be some unknown twists, such as surprise injuries and/or players opting out.
I do not expect to be 100% right… Like Ny said, just the reality of rosters will make baseball feel much closer to returning… I am expecting to move players around on rosters and post a new Roster Matrix…
