I have a feeling that the people doing these rankings are doing little more than crunching the same numbers that Luhnow and others who are analytics driven crunch. So these rankings are almost entirely based upon analytics with very little input from scouts and coaches and other observers. With that, anybody who understands analytics and how to work with them could pretty much match these rankings while working at their kitchen table.
