stlcard25ParticipantLudwin Jimenez did not give up a hit or walk in a complete game today as the Cards shut out the DSL Tigers 1. He did hit a batter and the game ended after 5 innings, though. ?
July 16, 2018 at 5:46 pm #60532He actually hit two batters. But both were erased via a caught stealing and pick off so he faced the minimum through five.

stlcard25ParticipantAh, I missed the second HBP in my look through the log. Still, despite no strikeouts, a pretty good start for the young man.
July 16, 2018 at 6:58 pm #60534I thought he did great. I just thought it was interesting that he hit two batters but they were both nailed on the base paths.
July 16, 2018 at 8:25 pm #60538In his tune-up start for Triple-A Memphis, Luke Weaver cruised thru three innings vs. Iowa, but gave up a single and two-run HR in the fourth. Left the game after four. 3 hits, 0 BB, 7 K. 42 of 56 pitches were strikes.

July 16, 2018 at 11:18 pm #60544Springfield wins on a walkoff grand slam by Mieses in extras. First game I got to attend this year. Woodford was a little wild tonight. No walks but 3 hbp. Also had a couple of errors behind him. Mieses doubled his rbi total with the slam. All in all a fun game to watch.
July 17, 2018 at 8:17 am #60557The #stlcards system went 5-3 on Monday as Memphis and Springfield mounted successful late comebacks. Player of Day Jake Dahlberg pitched seven strong innings, but State College dropped a 2-1 decision. https://t.co/z2VxRrBJeb pic.twitter.com/p3kmFKL3js

July 17, 2018 at 5:34 pm #60673Sweet game to go see, Cardinal25!! I always like to ask game goers what goodies they consume at the ol’ ballpark, as I think it says a lot as to what kind of a person they are. For instance, my wife, who is 14 years my junior, loves cream puffs……and that reflects perfectly as to the sweet pretty easy going lady that she is. Me? Up until two years ago, Miller Park had this concession booth where you could get cotton candy, but now they no longer sell it. So now I stash a couple nice big ones (but it’s not the same because it gets all matted down) in my wife’s purse before heading out to the game. Trust me when I say there’s not a more delicious treat than while watching a Cards game, to have a brewski in one hand and a big batch of cotton candy in the other. It may not sound like a good combo, but it truly is. You take a big chomp of cotton candy and then a nice swig of beer and then let the two mingle around in your mouth together for about 20 seconds…..amazingly tangy and surprisingly delightful.
July 18, 2018 at 6:45 am #60696Pugs, when I go I tend to stick to the old fashioned hot dog. For me nothing beats watching a game and enjoying a good ballpark hot dog.
