Don’t know if anyone else heard him this morning with his usual session on KMOX. Seems like he’s changed his tune a bit. Didn’t talk about being patient. Said he understands why the fan base is out of patience and that he is too. Intonated that changes need to be made. Doesn’t want to come on KMOX anymore and talk patience. That players are told to do the small things that make a difference at the plate but they keep swinging for the fences when they’re told to just make contact.
Referenced the high K rate recently. Got a strange feeling that he’s working on a deal or two.
Though for some reason I have this fear of be careful what we wish for…that any deal that he makes will end up just like his recent ones for Cecil and such…hope that I’m wrong but…
I went back and listened to the replay on KMOX. Some of MO’s comments were blunt but only he knows how sincere he was being or if he was trying to say what he thought the fan base was wanting to hear. I did not get the impression that any major changes were imminent.
