stlcard25ParticipantThe GCL Cards go to 5-0 with a 7-4 win today. Young Mateo Gil had his first XBH, a double.
June 24, 2018 at 4:40 pm #58022Speaking of… subscribers should look for Paul Ivice’s first weekly GCL Cards Notebook, to be posted first thing Monday morning. Paul attends many GCL Cardinals games in person and is often the first to report news from the back fields.

stlcard25ParticipantI haven’t had a chance to read the State College report yet so I’ll look for both!
June 24, 2018 at 6:40 pm #58030The Chiefs may be contemplating a change of names to the Pefectos after their 4-2 victory today catipalted their second half record to an eyebrow-raising 4-0. There is one man who warrants some serious ink from this series..and he is not a player. Not since the days of Brock “Eagle Eye” Ballou has the Midwest League been blessed with such quality umpiring as what we saw on full display in this series from one, Trevor Dannegger. “TD”….or “Trevor Dannegger” to the layman, is a dead pull lock down 5-tool arbiter. He truly has “Major League Umpire” emblazoned across his ebony chest protector. I’ll have more on this masked marvel in the very near future, as I am still reviewing the Chiefs tape from today’s game after just getting back from a wondrous trip to Miller Park. But one thing that I would like us all to do is to chew on a nickname that does this gem justice. Remember the name….. Trevor Dannegger…..the man is no ham & egger!
June 25, 2018 at 7:49 am #58044The #STLCards system went 5-2 on Sunday. Players of the Day Rangel Ravelo and Adolis Garcia each homered and plated four in Memphis’ home win. Casey Meisner threw seven scoreless innings for Palm Beach. (Daily game recaps always free and ad-free!) https://t.co/IaSC9hzw0T pic.twitter.com/rpxtfmJ7xC
