DSL is off SundaysJune 10, 2018 at 4:03 pm #56090Why is O`Neill sitting again.WTH is going on.He is clearly better than Adolis Garcia…so WTH is happening?
June 10, 2018 at 5:08 pm #56093As CNN would say “breaking news”! Junior Fernandez sighting in Palm Beach today!
June 10, 2018 at 5:27 pm #56094Back-to-back rough outings from our starters along the rocky banks of the great Mississippi….I guess Memphis rests along the Mississippi too…that’s 3 Cardinal teams residing along the The Big Muddy. Wouldn’t it be a cool trademark to have all 5 Redbird teams playing along Ol’ Man River? Let’s see…..how about if we move Palm Beach to Baton Rouge and Springfield to Dubuque, Iowa? Dubuque has these majestic green bluffs that ride high above The Grand River and these real old buildings occupying it’s downtown area that if you rounded one of it’s coroner’s on a misty evening, you just might have a reasonable chance of bumping into Moonlight Graham. Back to the topic at hand….uncharacteristic poor starts from Alexander Fagalde last night and Evan Guillory today has knocked Peoria off it’s 1st place perch. Guillory was touched by our old pals from the Quad Cities for 6 earned runs on 8 hits in just 4 innings of labor, while also surrending 4 free passes. Colton Shaver took Evan deep in the 1st inning with no mates onboard and they’re now heading to the bottom of the 8th at Dozier with QC totally having their way with things ….8-0.

Peoria is on the Illinois River, not the Mississippi

stlcard25ParticipantGood to see Junior Fernandez back on the mound. Hopefully his strikeouts will tick up a bit and he’ll regain some of the prospect luster he had.
June 10, 2018 at 9:30 pm #56097You serious, Cardinals2016??? I was there once years ago and I vividly recall driving across this river bridge that went on longer than a Luke Weaver pitched inning. No way the Illinois river has that kind of width. I’ll look it up. If it isn’t on the Mississippi, then let’s look at maybe relocating to QC. I used to love that ballpark….the smell of the grass…..brass spitoons in the hotel lobbies…..zillions of those mayflies pestering the heck out of you at certain times every summer.

ParticipantDon’t see a lot of Dubuque, Iowa references in a Cardinals minor league game day thread. Haha.
