State College vs. Auburn: Daniel CastanoSpringfield eliminated from the Texas League playoffs last night. Zac Gallen was promoted to Memphis today. Would think there will be a lot more transactions forthcoming to support the Redbirds and Palm Beach in the playoffs.
While Memphis North was taking down San Francisco, Memphis South downed Colorado Springs, 15-7. HR’s by O’Neill, Martini and Tovar. Even Matt Pearce went 1-for-2 with two runs scored.
Daniel Castano’s impressive mound effort helped State College stay in the play-off hunt, one of three wins in the St. Louis Cardinals system on Sunday. Memphis banged its way to victory while Peoria rolled toward the postseason with another win.
