From what I’ve read it sounds like the Brewers are foisting nosebleed and even standing room only WS tickets on their fans who forked over $1,000 decades ago.

I guess I should not be surprised that a company would twist the terms and conditions around to screw these folks over.

I’d bet the sales pitch was spectacular (penthouse) and the reality is outhouse.

Anyone have different information or perspective?

To the victor go the spoils. I guess they CAN charge it since they’re in.

Nobody likes to hear it, but if you’re crazy enough to willingly put out $1000 to see a ballgame from suspect seats or to hang out of the rafters, you deserve what you get. My top number I’d pay would be FAR lower than that!

I still have my ’68 WS game 7 bleacher entrance ticket stub priced at $2.00 “taxes included”…I was situated roughly 50 to 60 ft. from where Flood lost his footing with 2 outs in the visitor half of the 7th of that fateful baseball game. I also still have a fully completed scorecard filled out in pencil by my paternal grandfather from game 5 of the ’67 WS in which Lonborg earned the W and Carlton took the L. It’s priced at 50 cents. I have no idea what happened to my ticket stub from that game. In any case, I paid a little over $2.00 for a can of beans the other day.

I paid $700 a ticket for three bleacher seats for Game 3 of the 2013 World Series. We did not win the series but we did win game 3. That was when Allan Craig scored the winning run in the bottom of the 9th on obstruction.

The tickets were purchased on a third party site, not directly from the Cardinals. I haven’t regretted that purchase since my son and I got to see a WS game together.

That’s awesome, gscottar. And considering the price of a can of beans these days, I don’t think $700 to $1000 is anywhere near to being out of line for admission to a WS game and what could be a once in a lifetime event. In my estimation, those $700 bleacher tickets were a small price to pay for a lifetime’s worth of memeories for both you and your son.

The only WS I have been to was games 3 and 4 of the 2004 Cards – Red Sox WS. Cards lost both games and the Red Sox broke their 86 year curse of the Bambino.

Even though the Cardinals lost I have great memories of that trip to StL.

(The Brewers Timeless tickets were sold in 2014 – 12 years ago – not ‘decades’ as stated in the OP.)

Agreed. Sometimes things are more important than money.

I may have had to eat baloney sandwiches for awhile after that but it was worth it…lol

Yeah, the Brewers have an awkward situation with those Golden Tickets, the money shelled out is sunk cost so I don’t think th buyers should be too upset.

Great memories from you guys who saw some Series’ games. That is something about 1TD being some 60 feet from Flood’s misjudgment. I have seen documentaries where part of the feature is the interview with Flood in front of his locker after the game sipping champagne and articulately talking about the misplay. Curt probably gobbles that ball up 99 times out of a hundred, but with the day game and tough backdrop with the fans he just did not get a good read on it off the bat, as Northrop squared it up and Curt thought he popped it up.

Precisely why the Brewers should honor the Timeless Tickets as they were represented when sold.
