    If there is a strike next year, can anybody on the 40 man roster play in the minor league that may still have rookie status?
    I’ve heard yes and no.

    That could become a real fly in the ointment for a lot of the young talent’s development.

    As discussed elsewhere, it will be worse if they require the usual 40-man additions prior to the Rule 5 Draft. There is a feeling/hope this will be canceled because of the impending lockout.
