The St. Louis Cardinals system was 2-2 on Wednesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Peoria DH Andrew Williamson, hit two singles and a double, walked, drove in a run and scored twice. Other standouts include Caden Ferraro and Jesus Garcia.

The Triple-A Redbirds were massacred by the Bulls 16-1 at AutoZone Park on Wednesday.
Starter Brandt Thompson pitched four innings, gave up seven runs, two earned, on eight hits, walked one and fanned five. Thompson took the loss.
Ryan Murphy relieved Thompson and surrendered five runs in two innings of relief. Andrew Schultz yielded three runs in 1 2/3 innings. Skylar Hales allowed one run in 1/3 of an inning. Catcher Andy Yerzy tossed a scoreless ninth.
Memphis took a very brief 1-0 lead in the third inning. Graysen Tarlow doubled and scored on a double by Noah Mendlinger.

Durham put up five runs in the fourth, four in the fifth, three in the sixth, one in the seventh and three in the eighth for a final score of 16-1.
The Redbirds scored one run on four hits. The two doubles were the only extra base hits.
Trey Paige made a fielding error.
Memphis is 24-34 in the second half and is 10.5 games back of the Indianapolis Pirates in the International League.

Springfield 0 at Corpus Christi 4
The Double-A Cardinals were blanked by the Hooks 4-0 on Wednesday.
Starter Daniel Eagen pitched five innings, gave up four runs on seven hits, walked two and fanned six. Eagen took the loss.
Corpus Christi scored two in the first inning, one in the third and one in the fourth to lead 4-0.
Springfield was held scoreless and managed only two hits, singles from Cade McGee and Josiah Ragsdale.
The offense was 1-for-2 and left four men on base.
Springfield is 39-20 in the second half and is in first place in the Texas League North.
Thursday’s game: at Corpus Christi, Liam Doyle LHP (5-7, 3.90) vs. Alonzo Tredwell RHP (0-1, 4.32) 6:35 CT.
The High-A Chiefs beat the River Bandits by a 7-2 score at Dozer Park on Wednesday.

Nelfy Ynfante relieved Clarke and threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Trey Pooser hurled two scoreless innings. Liam Best and Patrick Galle each tossed a scoreless inning.
Peoria took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Andrew Williamson doubled and scored on a double by Jalin Flores.

The Chiefs added six runs in the third to extend the lead to 7-0. Williamson walked and Caden Ferraro followed with a two-run home run. Flores doubled. Brayden Smith walked. Yordalin Peña singled to score Flores. Anyelo Encarnación plated Smith on a single. Alex Birge walked. Peña came home on a force out by Michael Dattalo. Williamson drove in Birge on a single.

Quad Cities put up two runs in the fourth to cut the lead to 7-2.
The offense scored seven runs on 14 hits. Williamson was 3-for-4, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. Flores was 3-for-5 with an RBI. Peña was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Encarnación was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Ferraro homered for two RBI.
The Chiefs are 29-32 in the second half and are in fifth place in the Midwest League West, 9.5 games back of first place.
Thursday’s game: vs. Quad Cities, Jacob Odle RHP (2-4, 3.88) vs. Kendry Chourio RHP (2-2, 3.18) 6:35 CT.
The Class-A Cardinals defeated the Tortugas by the score of 5-3 on Wednesday at Roger Dean Stadium.
Starter Gabriel Chinchilla pitched 2 2/3 innings, gave up two runs on four hits and fanned four.
JR Fordham relieved Chinchilla and threw two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Kaden Echeman surrendered one run in one inning. Jesús García tossed the final 3 1/3 perfect innings with two strikeouts to earn the win.
Daytona took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Palm Beach cut the lead to 2-1 in the home half. Sebastian Dos Santos walked. Miguel Hernández singled. Alexander Frias singled to score Dos Santos.
The Tortugas added a run in the fifth to increase their lead to 3-1.
In the sixth, the Cardinals scored three runs to take the lead 4-3. Ryan Mitchell singled and advanced to second on a passed ball. Dee Kennedy singled. Owen Henne doubled to drive in Mitchell. Matthew Miura plated Kennedy on a single. Henne came home on a single by Gabe Camacho.
Palm Beach added a final run in the eighth to win the game 5-3. Henne doubled. Camacho singled. J.P Cabrera singled Henne home.
The Cardinals scored five runs on 13 hits. Henne was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Camacho was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Hernández was 3-for-4.
Hernández stole his sixth base.
The Cardinals are 31-31 in the second half and are in second place in the Florida State League East, 5.5 games back of Daytona.
