RHP Andre Pallante (12-6. 3.46) vs. TBA
Cards.TV // KMOXAugust 17, 2026 at 3:47 pm #316417I think it is fair to say that our two best starters this year have been Pallante and Leahy. Who would have predicted that before the season began?
August 17, 2026 at 4:39 pm #316420Burleson’s now up to .290 and leads the entire Big Leagues with 92 RBI’s and places 9th in TB’s. He’s piecing together an across the board first rate season and is amping things up at a time when many players begin to wear down and fade going into the latter half of August. If the Cardinals were somehow able to qualify for a NLWC berth I’d have to say that both he and Walker have to be given serious consideration as NL MVP candidates with Burleson holding a slight edge over Walker at the present time. In any case, those two L/R bats are proving to be a formidable duo representing the teeth of the Redbird batting order.
August 17, 2026 at 4:55 pm #316421I wonder if there are any good spots to hideout between games at GABP to make it possible for a fan to see both games of this double-header. Or, maybe you could go incognito and pretend like you were one of the concession guys who prepare those fancy chili dogs. At any rate, you have to be clever and enterprising with an innate ability to think on your feet when faced with these sorts of challenges.
August 17, 2026 at 5:10 pm #316422I just now happened to notice that Misiorkowski is currently situated at 13.6 K’s per 9 this season. That’s pretty doggone good when you consider that Ryan, Koufax, R. Johnson or Clemens never came anywhere close to that number.
August 17, 2026 at 5:40 pm #316424Yeah 1TD Misorowksi has been down right dominant. He looks even more impressive when you look at it through K% rather then than just the /9 stats. You can walk and/or give up hits to boost your /9 rates since you face more batters. He is at 39.8K%. The next best full season was Spencer Strider at 32.7K% so Misiorowski is blowing the best K% season out of the water.
He is fun to watch. You can tell the Brewers staff just told him that no one can hit his stuff so just throw it down the middle basically. His BB% dropped massively and just the approach you can see. He challenges guys and throws strikes keeping his pitch count down
August 17, 2026 at 5:46 pm #316428Yeah, Albert, he’s highly proficient with his Linda Ronstadt pitch…
August 17, 2026 at 5:55 pm #316429Two on and nobody out.
Burleson flies out.
Walker hits into a DP.
August 17, 2026 at 5:56 pm #316430Well, that turned out a lot better than it should have.
August 17, 2026 at 5:57 pm #316431Reds had bases loaded and nobody out in the bottom of the 1st.
Eugene Sewerz a sac fly.
Tolia lines into a DP.
1-0 Reds after one.

August 17, 2026 at 6:33 pm #316435Need a 2 out something good from Winn.

August 17, 2026 at 6:34 pm #316437Those 2 out RBI’s have always been my favorite flavor.
August 17, 2026 at 6:42 pm #316438Pallante’s been working around trouble all evening. When he’s absolutely positively had to make a pitch, he’s been a genuine Fed-Ex man…
August 17, 2026 at 6:45 pm #316439Haha…That was the illustration of the ‘ol Das Boot!
August 17, 2026 at 6:51 pm #316440Had the right guys to collect payment for the E-5 and came away empty.
August 17, 2026 at 7:19 pm #316441Well..that sucks!
4-4
August 17, 2026 at 7:22 pm #316442Yeah, he’s been making pitches to work out of trouble all night, but the well finally dried up. On the upside, he can still get the W but can’t get the L. Hey, it’s something.
August 17, 2026 at 7:30 pm #316443I don’t have a name for that bunt attempt…
August 17, 2026 at 7:57 pm #316444Torres comes through with a key base hit. It would have plated 2, but Winn forgot to run on the double steal so only Walker scored. Hopefully we can hold this one with a short pen. Reds have an extremely short pen as well.
Stryzlecki back out in a key spot in the bottom of the 8th.
August 17, 2026 at 8:04 pm #316445I guess the Reds fortified their pen today with a couple minor league pitchers on their shuttle so they may have the rest advantage if this one were to go to extras.
Stryzlecki gets through his second inning. He allows a double off the 3rd base bag, but that was it for damage. At least no walks!
Heading to the 9th up one. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bruihl is our closer for this game.
August 17, 2026 at 8:12 pm #316446Dang I was hoping Baez would get another chance.
