The St. Louis Cardinals system was 2-2 on Friday. TCN’s Player of the Day, Memphis DH Chase Davis was 3-for-5 with a single, a double, and a grand slam for five RBI. Other standouts include Colton Ledbetter, Mason Molina and Dakota Harris.

The Triple-A Redbirds routed the Bulls by the score of 12-2 in Durham on Friday.
Starter Mason Molina pitched six innings, gave up two runs on two hits, walked three and fanned eight to earn his first International League win.
Matt Svanson relieved Molina and threw a scoreless seventh. Pete Hansen tossed the final two scoreless innings.
Durham scored both of their runs in the first inning.
Memphis put up four runs in the third to take the lead. Brody Moore hit a solo home run. Victor Scott and rehabber Ramón Urias singled. Leo Bernal singled to score Scott. Urías came home on a passed ball. Colton Ledbetter walked. Bernal was picked off and caught stealing. Chase Davis doubled to plate Ledbetter.
The Redbirds added five runs in the fourth to increase the lead to 9-2. Urías walked. Bernal singled. Thomas Saggese walked. Ledbetter walked and Urías scored. Chase Davis blasted a grand slam.

Memphis put up three more runs in the eighth to win the game 12-2. Bernal walked. Saggese singled. Ledbetter hit a three-run home run.

The offense scored 12 runs on 13 hits. Davis was 3-for-5 with five RBI. Bernal was 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Moore was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Ledbetter had four RBI and three runs scored. Saggese and Urías each scored two runs.
Bernal was picked off and caught stealing.
Memphis is 20-24 in the second half.
Saturday’s game: at Durham, Ixan Henderson LHP (0-0, 0.00) vs. Joe Boyle RHP (1-6, 9.13) 5:45 CT.
The Double-A Cardinals came back from an 8-1 deficit to defeat the Naturals by the score of 9-8 at Route 66 Stadium on Friday.
Starter Tanner Franklin pitched 4 1/3 innings, gave up six runs, five earned, on seven hits, walked two and fanned five.
Jack Findlay relieved Franklin and finished the fifth. Chen-Wei Lin surrendered two runs in the final four innings and received the win.
NW Arkansas took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
The Cardinals tied the game in the fourth on a solo home run by Deniel Ortiz.

The Naturals added five runs in the fifth and two in the top of the sixth to go ahead 8-1.
In the home sixth, Springfield posted five runs to shrink the gap to 8-6. Won-Bin Cho doubled. Ortiz reached on catcher interference. Jack Gurevitch doubled to score Cho. Ryan Campos singled to plate Ortiz and Gurevitch. Campos was thrown out at second. Tre Richardson hit a solo home run. Dakota Harris hit a solo home run.
The Cardinals made it 8-7 in the seventh. Rainiel Rodriguez doubled and later scored on a sac fly by Ortiz. Springfield took the lead 9-8 in the eighth inning. Richardson singled and Harris followed with a two-run home run.

The Cardinals scored nine runs on 13 hits. Harris was 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Campos was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Richardson was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Josiah Ragsdale was 3-for-5. Ortiz had two RBI and two runs scored.
Cho and Ortiz each made a throwing error.
Springfield is 27-16 in the second half.

Peoria vs. Beloit (postponed)
Friday’s game at Dozer Park was postponed due to wet grounds. It will be made up as one game of a doubleheader on Saturday, August 15.

The High-A Cardinals fell to the Tortugas by a 5-2 score in Daytona on Friday.
Starter Jan Cabrera pitched 3 2/3 innings, gave up four runs on seven hits, walked one and struck out one. Cabrera took the loss.
JR Fordham relieved Cabrera and finished the fourth. Jaden Alba surrendered one run in two innings. Brian Garmon tossed the final two scoreless innings.
Daytona scored twice in the first, one in the second and one in the fourth to lead 4-0.
Palm Beach scored their first run in the sixth to cut the lead to 4-1. Yairo Padilla singled. Sebastian Dos Santos walked. Padilla scored on a wild pitch.
The Tortugas increased their lead to 5-1 in the seventh.
The Cardinals answered with their second run in the eighth. Dee Kennedy doubled and later scored on a fielder’s choice by Owen Henne.
The Cardinals scored two runs on just four hits. No Cardinal had multiple hits. The offense was 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base.
J.P. Cabrera made a fielding error. Trevor Haskins had an outfield assist at home plate. Alba picked a runner off second base.
The Cardinals are 22-24 in the second half.

DSL Cardinals 2, DSL Tigers 1 3 (seven innings)
The Dominican Cardinals were edged by the Tigers, 3-2 on Friday.
Starter Juan García pitched 4 2/3 innings, gave up two runs on three hits and fanned eight.
Juan Santillán relieved García and surrendered one unearned run in two innings and took the loss. Brayan Amoroso got the final out of the seventh.
The Tigers went up 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning.
The Cardinals answered with a run in the home half of the fourth on a solo home run by Misael Sánchez to cut the lead to 2-1.
The Cardinals tied the game in the fifth. Diego Conseción walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Conseción went to third on a wild pitch. Jesús Pérez walked. Conseción scored on a sac fly by Michael Cordero.
The Tigers rallied for one run in the top of the seventh to break the tie and win the game 3-2.
The Cardinals scored two runs on just three hits. No Cardinal had multiple hits.
Pérez was caught stealing. Carlos Carrión made a fielding error. Santillán picked a runner off first base. Eduardo Mirabal had a passed ball.
The Cardinals are 26-25 on the season and are in fourth place in the DSL Southeast.
