Another tough loss last night. Need to rebound with a win tonight.
And din-din today will be a trip to Applebees. A ribeye steak, well done, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and a Coke. Then after that a trip across the street to Walmart to get some things.
Tonight is wake-up night. Show a little aggression. Fatten a couple of batting averages. No more Mr. nice guys. If you can’t whip up on a few Angels….
I did my best on the din-din field with a big slice of cantaloupe, a Spanish omelette, green salad, iced tea, and a dish of Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream with a splash of chocolate.

I guess the chefs at Applebees don’t realize that when you say you want your steak well done there should NOT be red in the middle of it. More than just a little red too.

DH Bryan Torres LI figured you for a bloody red rare type and not a well done, Rat. Studies have shown that for males, how one likes their meat is in direct correlation to how tough they are. The more rare you like it, the tougher person you are. Basically, you wouldn’t want to be side-by-side in a fox hole, with the enemy charging in your direction, with someone whom likes their meat well done. Like Rat, I too used to order my steaks well done. But then I decided to take action and do something about it. So I started pumping iron and jogging with a 25lb. plate in each arm at night in this open field near my house. Now I order my meat medium rare, with aspirations to one day go totally rare.
I don’t know, Pugs. My dad was as tough as they come and always ordered his steaks well done. I request medium – some pink in the center but not too red. If it is a little on the rarer side that is fine, and a bit better than a little too well done.
I am at the gym and am not sure what we are having for din din.
There are exceptions to every rule, BicycleMike. My memory is a bit hazy, but I vaguely remember you ordering your fish raw that time we had lunch in Denver, Mike. Take a look at any sushi lover……tough as nails.
I go along with Bike Mike for medium steak and don’t mind a little red, otherwise you just cook the juice and all of the flavor right out of the meat leaving you gnawing on a dry shoe tongue. I gave up the gym and the iron some time ago and have now settled into easy chair complaisance.
As a kid I remember my mother serving up little round balls of raw steak at home for her Bridge groups. I think they were on toothpicks and then they would dip them into these different kinds of brown mustard. Sounds pretty raspy to me. Maybe they didn’t have many food illnesses like we have today?
Hey Rat…….is there any possible rain storms in the greater Anaheim vicinity? We could use a big one.

Here’s an idea. When we trade JoJo we have his replacement ready to go. Matthew Liberatore has pitched his way out of this rotation. I hope Oli leaves him in to clean up his own BS tonight.
