The St. Louis Cardinals system was 2-2 on Tuesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Memphis 2B César Prieto, was 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Other standouts include Joshua Báez, Jeremy Rivas and Trey Paige.

The Triple-A Redbirds walloped the Tides by an 11-4 score on Tuesday.
Starter Pete Hansen pitched just three-plus innings, gave up two runs on three hits, and secured eight of his nine outs via the strikeout.
Jared Shuster relieved Hansen and threw a scoreless fourth for the win. Scott Blewett hurled 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Max Rajcic surrendered two runs in one inning. Skylar Hales pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Cade Winquest tossed a scoreless ninth.
Norfolk took a 2-0 lead with single runs in the third and fourth innings.

Memphis posted a five-run fifth to go ahead 5-2. Bligh Madris walked. Ramon Mendoza singled. Jeremy Rivas walked. César Prieto plated Madris and Mendoza on a single. Joshua Báez followed with a three-run home run.

The Redbirds added five more runs in the top of the seventh to extend the lead to 10-2. Matt Koperniak doubled. Mendoza walked. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch. Rivas drove in Koperniak and Mendoza on a single. Rivas came home on a single by Leo Bernal. Blaze Jordan walked. Madris doubled to score Bernal and Jordan.

The Tides answered with two runs in the home half seventh to cut the lead to 10-4. Memphis added a run in the ninth on a Prieto solo shot to increase the lead to 11-4.

The offense scored 11 runs on 10 hits. Prieto was 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Mendoza was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Rivas had two RBI and two runs scored. Madris had two RBI. Báez drove in three.
Báez and Mendoza each made a throwing error.
Memphis is 39-25 on the season and is in second place in the International League.
Wednesday’s game: at Norfolk, LHP Quinn Mathews (2-3, 4.53) vs. Nestor German RHP (3-1, 4.08) 5:35 CT.
The Double-A Cardinals beat the Sod Poodles by a 9-5 score in Springfield on Tuesday.
Starter Mason Molina pitched six innings, gave up four runs, three earned, on four hits, walked one and fanned nine.

Darlin Saladin relieved Molina and threw a scoreless seventh. Ryan Murphy hurled a scoreless eighth to earn the win. Michael Watson surrendered one run in the ninth.
Amarillo went up 1-0 in the first, added two in the second and one in the third to lead 4-0.
Springfield cut the lead to 4-2 in the fourth. Miguel Ugueto reached on an error. Ryan Campos doubled to score Ugueto. Campos advanced to third on a wild pitch and came home on a sac fly by Trey Paige.
In the eighth, the Cardinals put up seven runs to jump ahead 9-4. Brody Moore doubled. Dakota Harris walked. Jon Jon Gazdar singled. Rainiel Rodriguez singled to plate Moore. Ugueto drove in Harris on a single. Gazdar came home on a sac fly by Campos. Zach Levenson was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Paige followed with a grand slam.
The Sod Poodles scored one run in the ninth to bring the final score to 9-5.
The Cardinals scored nine runs on six hits. Paige had five RBI. Campos drove in two. Ugueto scored two runs.
Molina made an error on a pickoff attempt.
Springfield is 26-31 on the season. They are in third place in the Texas League North.
Wednesday’s game: vs. Amarillo, LHP Liam Doyle (1-3, 5.54) vs. Junior Sanchez RHP (0-0, 0.00) 11:15 am CT.
The High-A Chiefs fell to the Cubs by a 6-3 score in South Bend on Tuesday.
Starter Yhoiker Fajardo pitched four innings, gave up four runs on five hits, walked four and fanned five. Fajardo took the loss.
Ruben Menes relieved Fajardo and threw a scoreless fifth. Christian Worley hurled a scoreless sixth. Dominic Freeberger surrendered two runs in the seventh. Gerardo Salas tossed a scoreless eighth.
The Cubs went up 4-0 in the second inning.
The Chiefs scored two runs in the fourth to cut the lead in half. Cade McGee thumped a solo home run. Josh Kross followed with a solo home run.

South Bend added two runs in the seventh.
Peoria rallied for one run in the ninth to shrink the final score to 6-3. Anyelo Encarnación walked and stole second base. Jesús Báez plated Encarnación on a double.
The Chiefs scored three runs on eight hits. Cameron Nickens was 2-for-4.
Nickens stole his third base of the season. Encarnación swiped three bags. Jalin Flores stole his seventh base.
Kross made a throwing error.
Peoria is 30-28 on the season. They are in third place in the Midwest League West.

The Low-A Cardinals were no-hit by the Mets in a 7-0 loss at Roger Dean Stadium on Tuesday. It was only the third no-hitter thrown against Palm Beach in team history.
Starter Nelfy Ynfante pitched 3 1/3 innings, gave up one unearned run on no hits, walked two and struck out two. Ynfante took the tough loss.
Yadiel Batista relieved Ynfante and surrendered two runs in 1 1/3 innings. Liam Best yielded three runs in 1 1/3 innings. Dylan Driessen threw two scoreless innings with five strikeouts. Jesús García allowed one run in the ninth.
St. Lucie took a 1-0 lead in the third, added two in the fifth, three in the sixth, and one in the ninth to win 7-0.
The Cardinals drew four four walks and struck out seven times. The offense was 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position and left five men on base.
Jonathan Mejía and Michael Dattalo each made a fielding error. Brayden Smith had a throwing error. Best made an error on a pickoff attempt. Heriberto Caraballo had a passed ball.
The Cardinals are 30-28 on the season. They are in second place in the Florida State League East, three games back of Jupiter.
