These are big games for Seattle.

They are still right in the middle of the race.

ALso, I’ll probably be tuning in to the Reds and Padres tonight from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. I might also check into the Arizona/San Francisco game from Candlestick Park and the Rockies and Doyers from Doyer Stadium.

Mikolas on the road usually spells disaster. I would put the over-under on his innings total at about 3. Let’s call it 3 1/3. I will go with the under. In fact by then Cal Raleigh might have already jacked two in the seats.

The oddsmakers and bettors seem to agree with your Mikolas assessment as Seattle are whopping -235 favorites. I’m not a big gambler but that seems a little steep.

So who has the skinny on Nick Raquet. I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen his name mentioned on this board before. But hey, welcome to the big leagues.

If it’s indeed a -235 Seattle handicap, that’s a strong indication that Mikolas and the Cardinals will win…Especially since Vito and MLB have now forged such a firm and steadfast relationship as loyal partners in the organized gambling syndicate…

Don’t know anything at all about Nick Raquet, but I was wondering if maybe Katie Woo was Brian’s big sister?

Raquet is a guy we signed last year as a minor league free agent (I think that’s how we got him anyway – could have been minor league rule 5 draft though). He was so-so with Springfield and Memphis last season. Was ok again for Memphis this season and then got sent back to AA in a pitching crunch. He suddenly became super effective and had an ERA around 1.00 over like 20 some innings. They brought him back to Memphis and he’s been pretty good ever since.

I wouldn’t expect a whole lot from him. He gives the team another lefty arm. Basically, it’s better to give him a shot than Hampson at this point. If he is bad, they just cut him over the offseason. If he does well, he joins the Memphis shuttle. I personally like Granillo a whole lot better, but he can go pitch some high leverage innings at Memphis now so it may work out.

Katie would be upset by that question (or maybe amused) as she is younger than my children! 😉

Nick Raquet…..would be a heck of a name for a professional tennis player. He’s closing in on age 30 and this is his first trip to the show. My guess is that he’s very well liked by all, but a little short on pro talent. He most likely has the heart of a lion to get where he’s at on marginal abilities. How could you not root for the guy.

I meant the Seattle SP’er’s big sister, Brian…I just now saw that his name is spelled, Bryan…Haha! At any rate, “Katie Lied”…At least that’s what I was led to understand according to Dr. Woo…

Miles Mikolas mostly mourns 2 Mariners making base and mulliganing the no-no, but double trouble downs the sea blown ship riders and the Cardinal-Red Avians maintain their flight.

Maybe they fixed up Mikolas’s hotel room to look like his room at home.

Miles avoids another leadoff double with a walk and of course followed by a single. First and third, none out, pulled by Marmol.
