June 19, 2025 at 1:40 pm #285103Cards up 1-0 after one inning.
June 19, 2025 at 1:45 pm #285104The Nootz was deader than yesterday and had no chance on that CS. Looked like the throw from behind HP came from someone named Yadier.
June 19, 2025 at 2:07 pm #285105Taking a gander at the out-of-town scoreboard this fine sunny Thursday afternoon after a stormy and rainy Wednesday……
The Twins lead the Reds 9-5 in the 7th at Crosley Field. Last night’s game only lasted six innings with the Reds winning 4-2.
And the Brewers lead the Cubs 5-2 in the 3rd at Wrigley Field.
Later tonight the Padres face the Doyers in the final of their four game set at Doyer Stadium. The Doyers will be going for the sweep after last night’s thrilling 4-3 win.
June 19, 2025 at 2:19 pm #285106The official scooter gives Winn an error on that throw. It should have been an E3. Contreras should have waited to see where the throw was going before stretching to get it. Contreras had it in his glove but let it dribble out. That Contreras regularly stretches before seeing where the throw is going is about the biggest issue I have seen with him at first base this year.
The White Sox tie the game at 1.
June 19, 2025 at 3:00 pm #285110Cards tied it 2-2 in the top of the 6th.
Bases loaded, two outs, Fenton Walker up.
And Fenton gets called out on strikes.
Then again, what do you expect from a .220 hitter.

June 19, 2025 at 3:12 pm #285112This has been a very uninspiring game thus far against the 23-50 White Sox.
June 19, 2025 at 3:17 pm #285113Looks like the Redbirds are going to lose game one of this twin bill.
They better win this one tonight or it will be a pretty lame performance.
I doubt I watch the game tonight. I’m almost at the point where I don’t really enjoy watching a bunch of .220/230/240 hitters trying to slug it out there.
June 19, 2025 at 3:29 pm #285114Contreras ties it up at 4 in the eighth with a 2 run home run.

jj-cf-stlParticipantThe threat of Donovan allows two favorable matchups.
June 19, 2025 at 3:38 pm #285116Walker just missed a 3 run homer with the wind blowing in.
June 19, 2025 at 3:39 pm #285117Pozo give us the lead!
Good call by the manager on the PH.
June 19, 2025 at 3:40 pm #285118Pozo comes through with a 2 out single to drive in Gorman with the go ahead run. 5-4 Cardinals in the 8th.
June 19, 2025 at 3:41 pm #285119We need about 5 more runs to make this lead Helsley proof.

June 19, 2025 at 4:03 pm #285121Can Helsley close it out against the second worst team in MLB? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm…
June 19, 2025 at 4:08 pm #285122Good job. 5-4 Cards.
Now let’s go get the sweep.
June 19, 2025 at 4:08 pm #2851235-4 Cardinals take the opener
June 19, 2025 at 4:11 pm #285124
jj-cf-stlParticipantAfter 74 games, the 2024 roster had logged a 37/37 W/L record.
They did win their next three games.June 19, 2025 at 4:12 pm #285125Twins beat the Reds 12-5.
Brewers beat the Cubs 8-7.
Could be a good day if we get the sweep tonight.
June 19, 2025 at 4:22 pm #285127I gave the trout a break and fished for smallmouth today. Kayak float. Listened to most of the game on my way home. Agitated by the called third strikes and passed ball. 4-2 when I pulled in driveway. Unloaded boats and put gear away. Took a shower and turned it on to see Helsley pitching. Nice.
June 19, 2025 at 4:39 pm #285128I actually fell asleep for a couple of innings. That’s how exciting this game was. But the end woke me up. Hi Ho Pozo!
June 19, 2025 at 4:46 pm #285129In and out of the broadcast, good to win and take another series. Got to take advantage of the losses of the Cubs and Reds. Why would Oli choose to sit Donovan? tried to find out and have not seen an explanation anywhere. Thnx guys, sure hope it was just for the DH.
