3:05 p.m.
RHP Sonny Gray (5-1, 4.06) vs. Patrick Corbin LHP (3-3, 3.75)
FanDuel // KMOXMay 30, 2025 at 11:22 pm #283645Need to win this one. As I said earlier, DeGrom is going tomorrow.
And one run last night.
Like I keep saying they don’t have anybody that can hit.
And by the way, Ohtani homered at least twice last night. And Judge jacked one as well.
May 31, 2025 at 11:51 am #283661Corbin seems to have turned his career around to some degree. The club needs to bounce back from last night and make this a win, showing that a blowout was simply one loss and not something to be overly concerned about.
May 31, 2025 at 1:57 pm #283667It’s too bad about Walker’s 10 day visit to the IL just when he seemed to be swinging the bat well. Let’s hope this doesn’t end up like the nagging wrist injury to Edman that required surgery.
May 31, 2025 at 2:32 pm #283668Quote of the day…When asked how it felt to be the smallest player in the Big Leagues, 5-5, 148 lb. SS Freddie Patek replied, “It’s a lot better than being the smallest player in the minor leagues”…

jj-cf-stlParticipantMaybe Barrero can get some PA’s.
May 31, 2025 at 2:41 pm #283671This new guy favors the great Manny Motter in appearance, but his last name inspires me to hope that he’s related to Vlad…
May 31, 2025 at 3:32 pm #283673The Rockies have won 9 games. They’re on pace to win 12 this season.
May 31, 2025 at 3:35 pm #283675I assume you mean 21 1TD? I thought the White Sox last year were bad and they were, but somehow this years Rockies are even worse.
May 31, 2025 at 3:37 pm #283676Cards take the lead in the top of the 2nd from a Contreras walk and small ball by Contreras, Herrera, and Arenado. And wow I hate that Walker is out and the RF replacement is Alec Burleson. This man should never touch the OF grass, yet he will be out there consistently. His bat has been much better the last few weeks, but I don’t want to see him in the OF.
May 31, 2025 at 3:39 pm #283678Does Jake Burger feel obliged to have a hamburger for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Do we think he is more of a smash burger type like Five Guys or more of a thick burger from somewhere like a pub? I’m guessing he is a thick burger type of guy

jj-cf-stlParticipantPages has control of the basepaths. He contests every play regardless of the outcome.
May 31, 2025 at 3:48 pm #283681Gray’s stuff is looking sharp today. That one run may be enough for him if he can pitch deep into this one.
May 31, 2025 at 3:53 pm #283682
jj-cf-stlParticipant6 K’s in 10 batters faced for Gray w/out a bloated pitch count.
May 31, 2025 at 3:57 pm #283683The foul line cooperates with Contreras this time as he pushes Winn across for the 2 run lead.
May 31, 2025 at 4:06 pm #28368450 pitches through 4 innings for Sonny. Very economical start despite racking up some Ks early
May 31, 2025 at 4:33 pm #283688The Yanks and Tigers are the only AL teams with a better record than the Cardinals.
May 31, 2025 at 4:35 pm #283689I’m always amused when the umpire performs what amounts to a frisk or shakedown of a pitcher when he enters a game. Gaylord would be appalled and would possibly call on assistance of the ACLU…Whatever happened to probable cause?
May 31, 2025 at 4:39 pm #283690Yeah, KCB, I happened to notice that the ALW in particular contained some W/L records that could be termed anemic.
May 31, 2025 at 4:40 pm #283691Lots of track time for the Ranger’s bats today.
May 31, 2025 at 4:46 pm #283692The Dodgers only have 3 more wins than the Cardinals. If we win and they lose it’s 2. How much $ has those 3 victories cost them?
May 31, 2025 at 4:50 pm #283693I could resist. 45 million per. And that doesn’t count any of the deferred money.
Edit If we win and they lose, it’s 67 million perMay 31, 2025 at 4:54 pm #283694Milwaukee has been playing very good lately and is about to extend their win streak to 6 today with a 14-1 lead against the Phillies. The Cards need to keep the foot on the pedal to not only catch the Cubs, but to ensure they keep some ground ahead of the Brewers.
May 31, 2025 at 5:01 pm #283695A fantastic start by Gray as I assume they turn it over to Maton and then Helsley to close this one out. A 7 inning start is exactly what this team needed after 3 short starts in a row, although there was an off day in there.
May 31, 2025 at 5:02 pm #283696
jj-cf-stlParticipant90 pitches w/8, 9 and leadoff due vs Gray.
