Brian Walton’s take

14 of the 26 are members of The Cardinal Nation’s Top 50 Prospect List for 2025. Their rankings are inserted in parentheses above.

Six of the NRIs are among our Top 10 prospects, with the other four having already graduated to the 40-man roster. The six are Wetherholt, Mathews, Crooks, Hjerpe, Bernal and Davis.

Two of the four of the Top 10 who are on the 40-man, Saggese and McGreevy, have debuted with St. Louis, while Hence and Roby are trying to join them.

In spring training, the group of 26 non-roster invitees will join the 39 players currently on the 40-man roster for a camp total of 65.

Of course, additional roster changes could occur between now and February 12.
