Merry Christmas to all you devoted Cardinal fans.

For those of you who care about such things, Christmas din-din chez les CiFs will be:

Scallops in the shell with creme sauce

Veal grenadines with foie gras in madeira and potato galettes

    Green salad

Accompanied by a fine Saint Emilion grand cru

Finishing with chocolate/raspberry cake, a glass of champagne and coffee

And all the best wishes for a happy and healthy 2025 to all and a successful reset next year for our Cardinals.

Is it reach to ask Santa for an above .500 ball club?

    Merry Christmas to you, CiF!!

I’ll share din din as well…prime rib, mashed potatoes, green beans, honey whole wheat bread, veggie tray, strawberry cake and peanut butter pie. Looking forward to the feast, celebrating our Savior’s birth in style!

Merry Christmas to all you TCNers and your families! We are having ham, green bean casserole, butternut squash soup, scalloped potatoes, plus two kinds of pie.

Let’s hope 2025 brings greater success for our ball club. The last two years have been great for my portfolio, and lousy for my team. I don’t exactly wish for a reversal of fortunes, but getting the ball club up to par would be a nice present. 😀

    Merry Christmas everyone!

We enjoyed a glazed ham, mashed sweet potatoes, rolls, and chocolate pie!

And I enjoyed watching the Chiefs win today.

Merry Christmas all. Had ham, spinach and sweet potato casserole. Managed to steer clear of the rolls, mac & cheese and pecan pie. Not sure in which order, but later gonna have decaf coffee and bourbon that my daughter-in-law bottled somewhere in Kentucky.

I could probably exercise enough self control to pass on the rolls and mac & cheese, but there’s no way I can fend off pecan pie with a double scoop of vanilla ice cream…

Hope all had a wonderful day. We did an 10:00 am breakfast on the flattop. You name it, we cook it. After presents the steaks and NFL were great combo. “Time in a bottle” kinda day!

It was a wonderful day all around, warm house, joyful colors, good food, thoughtful presents, happy children and grandchildren, and to top it off, thanks to Netflix, I was able to watch an American football game for the first time in years. Life is good.

Some absolutely fabulous din-dins yesterday! Can’t wait until 2025 game threads commence, so we can once again get a steady diet of din-din revelations. And Bobby Reed’s French was indeed a nice touch…..so much so that if Gomez of Addams Family fame had heard Bobby, he would have momentarily forgot all about Morticia and cast a romantic gesture in Bobby’s direction. I was a bit of a lost soul in the din-din department yesterday as my restaurant was closed. I’ve been frequenting Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse 5-6 times a week, as their home cooking is far superior to mine. Spring training only 2 months away……it’ll be here before we know it.
