Ok gang……it’s your lucky day. Guess what today is? It’s a bet the ranch and all of it’s inhabitants on the St. Louis Cardinals to win day. Indians are favored, so that will spice your payoff some. So empty your wallets, checking and savings accounts, retirement accounts and take out hefty quick loans on any and all real estate holdings you have and plop it all down on the St. Louis Cardinals to win this game. I simply don’t miss on these games and those (I only know of two of you on this site) taking advantage of these tips since 2006, have had great riches bestowed upon them.

Din-din tonight……not really sure yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My wife says the last time we went to Ikea was to buy ourselves a new floor lamp for Christmas 2021. So that explains the unexpected taste and texture of the half a bag of meatballs. With that it mind, I am going to pass on some other stuff I found in the freezer and get some kind of carry out for did din today.

Din-din today will be a Hungry Man’s Roasted Turkey TV dinner. Along with a few potato chips, the ruffled kind from Lays. And an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew. Then a big bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream.

And my late night snack tonight will be 2-3 pieces of fried bologna and a piece of chocolate cake with green swirl icing whilst me and Whitey Herdog are on the couch watching Watubi and the Doyers play the Rockies. Along with a couple of 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigars. Of which I will have one during the Indians/Cards game.

With the cooler weather the lovely Lady Bike has a beef stew going in the crockpot. We’ll have that and likely just water to drink.

I have been kind of splurging the last week as I have been at my brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s place house/dog sitting. They have been in Rome, but get back later today. My brother-in-law is a home brewer, plus has a 1/3 interest in a brew pub. Needless to say no shortage of beers around here. You could have a different beer every day for a month.

Not only that, I have treated it sort of like a vacation so have been enjoying a lot of great meals and desserts. But I brought the bike up and have done a lot of riding, plus a lot of evening walks to help balance out the extra consumption.

I have to say, I think Pugs is off base on this one and we will see a losing effort from the home club.

While Friday night is my pizza night I am going back to back and doing pizza again tonight. A thin crust Udi’s pepperoni will be on the menu along with a Little Debbie chcoolate brownie for dessert and a tall glass of Diet Mountain Dew.

This time of year I usually switch channels between baseball and college football. My Razorbacks play at 2:30 today so I am not sure which football game I will watch tonight while checking up on the Cards game.

According to the Doppler Radar it looks like there is some green stuff headed towards the St. Louis area. Anybody got a weather report for the game tonight?

Wish we’d get some rain here in SW Indiana. We’ve had about .3 tenths the last month or so. Things are really dry.

Sonny going down could be a good thing. And yes ratsbuddy, it has bern dry for a good while now. The last two hurricanes couldnt really dent this dome. It was super muggy today downtown for the kidsfest and i think that is setting us up possibly for some storms tonight though i hope not severe.

Everyone’s a little skint-up at the 155 game mark. If there’s no bonus baseball in the scheme of things, guys sit down and rest and the newbies get a look or two.

The Royals are really trying to choke up the last ALWC. They’ve lost 5 straight and trail 4-0 in the 6th vs. the Giants at Kauffman. They’re really leaking oil at a bad time while approaching the finish line. That’s too bad.

A three-run HR by Herrera created a short-lived 6-1 lead. Before securing an out, Romero allowed a three-run blast by Jose Ramirez to close the gap to 6-4 in the top of the eighth.

6-5, your final. Cards will probably find a way to win a bunch this week to make it harder to gain a good draft pick.

The guy put it right over in inside half to Walker. Yeah, he can give that one a ride.

Nice outing by Mikolas, and Herrera’s put up good offense numbers this year.

I’m wondering why the Cardinal bosses haven’t yet eulogised this season’s edition now that they’ve been eliminated. Better yet, I’m wondering why the little whiz-kid and his boss Johnny have yet to offer up a batch of weak alibis and double talk to the best fans in baseball.

Unless the Dodgers run the table, no Big League team will end the season with 100 W’s.

And there doessn’t look to be any doubt that the White Sox will shatter the 1960 NY Met’s modern record of 120 regular season losses. The Sox are at 119 and counting.
