Davila has been pitching really well lately. I believe he was one of our bigger bonus international signings a few years back, so it’s good to see him get a little traction. He should be pushed a little to see how he responds, I think. Unlikely he’ll do a lot for the big league team in the long run but it would be good to see him in Peoria soon.

Would it be possible to just post Box Scores for the Minor League Teams? It seems easier than doing write-ups.

    Thanks CW

Bronco/CW, welcome to the site. I appreciate you expressing your preference, but different people have different desires and we do our best to accommodate everyone. The good news for you is that in our daily notebooks, all you have to do is click on the highlighted game score line and the complete box score for that game will be displayed.

I posted this earlier on the members side, but I thought I’d repeat myself since I’m seeing signs. Graceffo has games where he’s on and attacking and looks great. He also has games where he’s nonchalant and just throwing it up there. Tonight looks like the latter. We will see the results at the end but I’m betting they are poor.

I get credit for calling that one. I posted that after Graceffo had a scoreless first and 1 on with no one out in the 2nd. He finished with 3 1/3 innings and 6 runs.

On the flip side, my guy Hancel Rincon has a 6 inning shutout going. I actually get to watch the Palm Beach games this week. Typically they play in stadiums that don’t televise.

Bronco, for box scores alone MILB has a good view for the org so you can see all the box scores for the Cards on each day.

The last half month Jordan Walker has been playing much better. Hopefully he is starting to get used to the swing changes and is able to hit more like drives and fly balls.

In this article Walker claims they haven’t changed his swing mechanics. That he’s simply worked on laying off the low outside slider.

Interesting as Mo’s comments from a month ago made it sound like they were making some fairlt major changes to Walkers swing to not hit over 50% grounders.

ATM-It wouldnt be the first time what Mo says and reality are two completely different things. I think the poor old chap may be losing it.🤪🤪🤪

I’d say they’re at least three completely different things.

Interesting line score in the Palm Beach game today. Palm Beach scored 10 runs on 4 hits while Dunedin scored 4 runs on 14 hits.

At some point we will see Walker facing ML pitching again. They will be a lot better at putting that slider on the black. They will probably do like they do with Gorman and err on the side of missing rather than catching too much plate. Let him take a walk or get himself out. It will be fun to see what happens.

That goes both ways Bling. They have to throw it close to strikezone, that’s when they wind up leaving it too far in. I think they should leave him there the rest of the year. This season isnt going anywhere. Haven’t we rushed enough guys?

I can’t imagine Walker left off a postseason roster if it comes to that. Ready or not.

It is good to see some of our top prospects / former (Walker) succeeding lately. Mathews had another good game last night. Walker did as well and hit another HR. And Chase Davis has been playing well in Peoria.
